All Star Wars Battlefront Game Modes Outed on Official EA Star Wars Facebook

The Official EA Star Wars Spanish Facebook page has outed all playable game modes that will be coming with DICE's online shooter, Star Wars Battlefront later this year.  According to these screenshots via Reddit there will be seven game modes including fan favorite modes like Heroes Vs. Villains, Fighter Squadron, and of course the Walker Assault mode which DICE has revealed previously.

Here's the full list of confirmed game modes for DICE's Star Wars Battlefront:

  • Walker Assault
  • Heroes Vs. Villains
  • Fighter Squadron
  • Supremacy
  • Drop Zone
  • Blast
  • Cargo

Now although this was posted on the Official EA Star Wars Spanish Facebook, I would still take this information with a grain of salt, no matter how likely these game modes are to appear.  It sounds like game modes like Heroes Vs. Villains were not suppose to revealed quite yet.  We all hope that it is a coming to Star Wars Battlefront however, because who doesn't want to play as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, and other Star Wars Jedi's and Sith Lords?

Fighter Squadron will also be another game mode that fans of Star Wars Battlefront II will appreciate, especially since DICE has confirmed that Space Battles will not be in their reboot of the series.

Not quite sure what the other game modes listed are all about though. Supremacy sounds like it will be some sort of Conquest type game mode, hopefully with large player counts, but do you guys have any speculation on Drop Zone, Blast and Cargo?  Also what other Heroes and Villains do you want to see in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront?

Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha Sign-Up Details & System Requirements

Star Wars Battlefront is set to launch on November 17, and will be getting a Closed Alpha starting on July 2 for PC players only...

Official Announcement:
“Available for Origin on PC only, the purpose of the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha is to perform a number of technical tests that will help the team at DICE as they continue the development of the game,"

If you did not receive an email from DICE to register for the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha you can sign up here

Here are the system requirements for the Closed Alpha ONLY:
  •     CPU: Quad Core CPU e.g. Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
  •     RAM: 6 GB
  •     OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
  •     Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory
From the system requirements it seems like the Star Wars Battlefront Alpha will be pretty demanding, requiring at least a GTX 680 or AMD 7970 graphics card.  This is certainly not representative of the full release version however, and it's probably because DICE is still working on optimizing the game to it's  full potential.

You'll also only be able to participate in the Alpha if you have a 64-bit OS which is pretty unfortunate, but I'm sure the full release will accommodate players who have a 32-bit OS... hopefully.

Now I'm pretty sure we'll see an Open Beta for Star Wars Battlefront, as DICE is good about letting people try out and test their games with no requirements like Pre-ordering and all of the nonsense. So, if you don't get a Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha invitation, then I'm sure you'll be able to play the game at some point before the November 17 release, and I'm sure the Beta will also be open to PS4 and Xbox One players as well.

So make sure to sign up for the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha if you have a PC that can run it, and may the Force be with you.

Tom Clancy's The Division Beta Registration Info (The Division Gold & Collector's Edition Contents)

Tom Clancy's The Division is set to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 8, 2016 according to Ubisoft's E3 2015 announcement, and just before the full game release players will have a chance to enjoy, and of course test the game in The Division Beta.  Ubisoft announced that The Division Beta will arrive in early 2016, and registration is now taking place. Don't hop out of your seat in excitement thinking that this is an "Open" Beta though.  Ubisoft claims that Beta access is not guaranteed and that signing up will simply put you on a waiting list, and the only way to guarantee access to The Division Beta is to Pre-Order any Edition of the game.  Take a moment to check out my video including some E3 2015 gameplay footage for more information on The Division Beta as well as what each edition of the game will include.

Batman Arkham Knight Poor PC Performance (Max Settings Gameplay)

Despite the solid launch on PS4 and Xbox One for Batman Arkham Knight, the PC version is certainly underperforming.  Currently the game is locked at 30 frames per second on the PC, unless you adjust the frame rate cap in the config files, and even if you do, the game still struggles to maintain a consistent fps even on the highest end machines.  Developer Rocksteady is certainly aware of the issue, and says their working alongside an "external PC development partner" (most likely Iron Galaxy Studios) on a fix.

This is really unfortunate for those of us playing on the PC.  I've currently experienced the lack-luster performance first-hand.  I found it much better not to adjust the config files for a higher frame rate because at least if Batman Arkham Knight is locked at 30fps you don't experience many dips.  Stutters on the other hand are very clearly seen throughout the game however.

Check out the Batman Arkham Knight gameplay above on the highest graphics settings locked at 30fps on the PC, and head over to my YouTube channel for more Batman Arkham Knight gameplay.

Battlefield 2 Map Dragon Valley Returns to Battlefield 4 in Classic Map Project

For the next couple of weeks in the Battlefield 4 CTE players will get to experience the classic Battlefield 2 map Dragon Valley.  Dragon Valley is set to release as part of a Classic Map Pack coming to Battlefield 4 at an unknown date.  The map is a true Battlefield map.  It's massive with loads of armor including Attack Choppers, Scout Heli's, Tanks, and pretty much any kind of armor you can think of.  Check out some gameplay from the the re-invisioned  Dragon Valley map currently available in the Battlefield 4 CTE below.

Dragon Valley is currently in the "Prototype" stage but is already looking really nice imo.  What do you guys think?

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Really Worth the $$$? - Gears of War Xbox One & PC Gameplay Features

So we all know the Gears of War Ultimate Edition coming to Xbox One and PC on August 25 is running at 60 frames per second in 1080p on the new gen console.  Sounds great right?... but is it really worth your money?  If you ask me, better graphics and a higher frame rate really aren't worth it for a game I've already sunk hundreds of hours into, so how does The Coalition plan to push their Remastered version of Gears of War to the masses?  Check out my video below to learn more about what the Gears of War Ultimate Edition has to offer...

Big apologies everyone! After reading ALL the features that Gears of War Ultimate Edition was coming with I automatically assumed that the game would be $60.  However, after doing a little research I found out that you'll be able to get the Gears of War Ultimate Edition almost anywhere for around $40!  This is an absolutely insane value for all of the content you'll get with this game!  Gears of War Ultimate Edition is an absolute must buy for any Xbox One or PC owner who's even halfway interested in the title.  I would've paid $60 lols :)

Gears of War Ultimate Edition Multiplayer Gameplay on Xbox One

Here's some Gears of War Ultimate Edition gameplay on the Xbox One.  The Coalition opened a Multiplayer Beta where players can try out Gears of War in 1080p and 60fps!  Overall the game runs pretty much flawlessly from what I've experienced so far, however there were some matchmaking issues that forced me to "Fresh Reboot" my Xbox One a few times.  That was pretty annoying, but once you get into the game it's smooth as butter, and I'm sure those issues will be ironed out quickly. So here's a bit of Gears of War Ultimate Edition Multiplayer Gameplay on Xbox One.  Nothing too impressive, but you should get a good look out how it runs on the Xbox One.  We got to play on the maps Gridlock and Canals, and there's a bit of gameplay from both maps. . . .definitely two classic Gears maps.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildands Tactical Open-World Shooter - New Gameplay Details (Story, Environment, Co-Op, Singleplayer & More)

Ghost Recon is back in a big way in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, an open-world tactical shooter.  The United States most elite soldiers are called to Bolivia, South America in an escalating battle on cocaine trafficing.  They are tasked with strategically taking down the cartel without starting an all out war in hopes of crippling their operations and destroying their support structure.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is set in the near future.  So you and your friends arsenal of weapons and equipment will reflect what most modern day military powers currently use.  This is a big change from recent Ghost Recon games and their futuristic settings with futuristic weapons.  However, it takes Ghost Recon Wildlands back to the root of the series.  Don't worry though, you'll still be well equipped for the task at hand, with highly capable gadgets like drones that will help you strategically survey your targets camps and facilities, tag targets, and of course deploy the first strike.

The main thing that sets Ghost Recon Wildlands apart from previous Ghost Recon titles however is the enormous, ever changing open-world.  This new living world can effect your teams strategy.  Their are many things you'll need to take into account when deciding how to approach a target.  What time of day is it?  On a sunny day you may be more exposed, so you may want to strike from a distance, however during the day, your enemy targets may be trying to get things done in order to keep their business up and running which can leave them vulnerable for a tactical ambush.  Is it nighttime?  The darkness will obviously leave you more cover, but it could be more difficult for your team to identify targets.  Each mission or objective will need to be approached differently by you and your team, and you'll need to take every variable into account for an effective strike.

Another thing you are your team will need to account for are enemy vehicles and escape routes.  Ghost Recon Wildlands first gameplay reveal has already shown off a few vehicles including a highly mobile multi-passenger dune-buggy, dirtbikes, and even a transport helicopter, and their could be even more vehicles available.  Make sure if you're enemy has a clear escape route, you come prepared to meet them on the road.

Now obviously we've looked at a few ways that the environment can influence how players and teams will need to approach different situations, but with an effective strategy you can also effect the environment.  In Ghost Recon Wildlands you'll be able to interact with local rebels, bystanders, or even military officials.  These interactions can prove beneficial in gaining key intel on targets, or they could even provide major setbacks.  You'll first need to learn the relationships between certain people or groups with your target because they could prove more harm than good.  So make sure you know the locals loyalties.

Ghost Recon Wildlands can be played as a single player game or you can team up with friends for an ultimate co-op experience across the beautiful open-world.  Wildlands sounds like it has an absolute ton of replay value being able to approach missions in different ways with different strategies, so even if you do the same mission twice you'll still have a unique experience.

Surprising enough, this is one of the upcoming games I'm personally looking forward to the most.  There's still no release date set for Ghost Recon Wildlands however I think it's pretty safe to say we'll at least see this game by Summer 2016 or sooner.  The new open-world shooter will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

What do you guys think about Tommy Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.  Are you excited for an open-world Ghost Recon game?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Gameplay - Massive Open World Tactical Shooter

A big surprise just moments ago during Ubisoft's E3 2015 press conference was the announcement of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.  The obvious is that this will be a tactical shooter just like previous Ghost Recon games, however unlike the past, Ubisoft is bringing something new with Wildlands, and will give players more freedom and more options in a massive open-world.

As you can see from the gameplay above you're able to approach situations uniquely.  You can take out your targets from a distance, use a stealth approach, or get up close and personal with an ambush option.  The gameplay shows a great deal of one mission with three different approaches, but from what we've counted it looks like there will be at least 17 different targets or missions, most likely more (check out the info below on other confirmed targets), and Ghost Recon Wildlands will take players across a large variety of landscapes all over the world.

I have to say that this game really surprised me and I can't wait to see more from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.  I know it's pre alpha footage, but the game still looked solid graphics wise, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the biggest Ghost Recon game to date.  Now no release date has been set yet, but you can expect the game to be launcing on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC - New Features & Weapon Impressions! (Tactical Toolkit & Reputation Tier Preselection)

Check out the new Tactical Toolkit coming with the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC update.  The Tactical Toolkit can be equipped in one of your gadget slots and this will increase your interaction speeds on objectives.  For example you'll be able to plant Heist charges faster, take money from Blood Money vaults faster, or untie hostages faster while playing Rescue.  The Tactical Toolkit may be really good for players who are always playing the objective, but since it takes up a gadget slot, for most players I don't see this being a worth while upgrade.

Now Visceral has also added in a feature where you can now Pre-Select your Reputation Boosts, so that you don't have to worry about selecting them while you're in the heat of the battle.  I think this is an absolutely amazing feature and I'm really glad that they're implementing this with the Criminal Activity DLC.

Make sure to check out how each of this new features work in Battlefield Hardline by watching the video above, and also some of my thoughts on all of the Criminal Activity weapons.  Also if you want to stay up to date with everything new in Hardline come check out my YouTube channel for all the latest news and gameplay!  I'll definitely be all over the new Criminal Activity DLC which launches this coming Tuesday!

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC Gameplay - ALL New Maps. ALL New Weapons!

Today I gathered some gameplay footage of all 4 new maps coming in the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC with all of the new Criminal Activity weapons!  So far I'm really enjoying Backwoods and Code Blue the most, but I have a feeling once I grow more accustom to The Beat and Black Friday I may begin to really enjoy those maps as well.  Backwoods by far has the most classic Battlefield map feel, and Code Blue just offers a wide variety of gameplay from close to medium range combat as well as some vertical gameplay on the roof of the Nightclub.  There is quite a bit of variety between all the maps though so if you enjoy Hardline then I think you'll find Criminal Activity a great addition to the game.

As far as the Criminal Activity weapons, I'm really enjoying the M1A1 "Tommy Gun" as expected.  It's certainly not overpowered but it's just a ton of fun to use.  It could also be really useful on the Professional class to allow for a bit more objective based gameplay instead of having to sit back more with a sniper rifle or marksmen rifle.

The FAL Battle Rifle is also another great weapon.  Not sure of the exact stats on it, but it seems to pack a devastating blow to your targets at any range, so if you can control the recoil you can just be an absolute monster on the Battlefield.  I think a lot of Hardline players who enjoy playing enforcer will be running with the FAL quite a bit simply because of it's larger magazine, and it still seems to do good damage.

The SG510 Battle Rifle is also a really good weapon.  It excels at medium to long range, and of course if you can land your shots, since this is a Battle Rifle you'll be outputting a ton of damage.  This weapon was definitely made for the open-forest terrain of Backwoods, so make sure to test it's capabilities there.

And finally we have the KSG12 Pump Action Shotgun.  This weapon is an absolute BEAST!  It's a bullpup shotgun that chambers 14 rounds.  This is the largest round capacity of any shotgun in Battlefield Hardline and it works extremely well on all of the new Criminal Activity maps.  I like controlling the center of the Nightclub on Code Blue with the KSG12 and just daring anyone to come and take it from me.  Well, that and the dance floor!

Oh and who could forget the Nail Gun! The Nail Gun is easily the most fun Battlepickup weapons EVER!  Just get up close and destroy your enemy.  P.S. you don't appear on the minimap when firing :)

I would love to hear what you guys think about the new Criminal Activity gameplay we've seen over the past day or two.  What do you think of the new maps and weapons?  Also don't forget to Subscribe to my YouTube channel for much more Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity gameplay and more!

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity Weapons & More: Tommy Gun, Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle, & Shotgun!

Today Visceral Released new details about some new tools we'll be getting with the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC.  This includes 3 new weapons you can equip as part of your loadout, new details on the Nail Gun Battlepickup weapon, info on the 2 new ammunition types and also details on the 2 new rides!

So first off we're getting 3 new weapons specifically for the Enforcer Class.  These include a new Shotgun, a new Battle Rifle, and a new Assault Rifle.

The Shotgun
The Shotgun is a pump action shotgun only available for the cop side of the Enforcer class.  It holds 14 rounds and Visceral claims this weapon will feel right at home on The Beat and Black Friday maps coming with Criminal Activity.  We still don't know what the shotgun is called, but Visceral says that it's a futuristic shotgun that uses cutting edge technology. Any thoughts?

The Battle Rifle
The new Battle Rifle will only be available to the Criminal side of the Enforcer class.  Visceral is saying this weapon will have an iconic profile with "wooden furniture" for a classic look, but that it will work very well in modern combat.  It's main purpose will be mid to long range combat, but will work very well in close quarters if you can control the weapons heavy recoil.

The Assault Rifle
Yes, the Police side of the Enforcer class will be getting an Assault Rifle.  Visceral says the new assault rifle will have a unique look with a keg style charging handle.  It will offer a slow rate fire and lower recoil than most Battle Rifles so it's easier to control.  It fires a 7.62MM x 51MM round so it will be most effective at mid to long ranges, and has a 24 round magazine which is a larger mag than most Battle Rifles.  This Assault Rifle should give players who have trouble handling the heavy recoil Battle Rifles a much easier to use weapon, and still have access to the Enforcer gadgets like Breaching Charges!

Tommy Gun's for ALL!
Yes the Tommy Gun aka Thompson Sub-Machine gun is coming to Battlefield Hardline with the Criminal Activity update, but will be available to all players who bought Battlefield Hardline as a token of appreciation.  The Tommy Gun will be available to cops and criminals and also be available for all classes!  Visceral says that this weapon will have a slower rate of fire a limited customization options.  The only attachments you'll be able to add to the Tommy Gun are a grip and extended mags.

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity: Bounty Hunter Game Mode Details

Visceral has finally release some information about the new Bounty Hunter Game Mode coming with the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC.  Bounty Hunter sounds very similar to a popular game mode in Call of Duty called Kill Confirmed.  In Kill Confirmed you everytime a player dies they drop a set of dog tags, so you collect the enemy dog tags to confirm a kill, and the enemy attempts to collect your teams dog tags.  The team that collects the most dog tags wins.

The concept in Battlefield Hardline's Bounty Hunter is almost identical expect that instead of dropping dog tags, when a player is killed they will drop "Bounty Coins."  Whichever team collects the most Bounty Coins wins.  Check out the video above for more details on  the new Bounty Hunter game mode including a Pro Call of Duty Tip that I picked up in my CoD days that should work just as good in Bounty Hunter!
