Destiny: Twilight Garrison Exotic Titan Armor Exclusive Gameplay - Destiny The Taken King Titan Exotic Chest Piece

Here's some rare footage of the new Destiny The Taken King Titan Exotic Chest Piece, Twilight Garrison. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the "Shadestep" perk for the Hunter Nightstalker Subclass which allows you to Evade with a quick movement in any direction. The Twilight Garrison Exotic Chest Armor basically grants the same evade ability to the Titan class.  The only difference is that you don't roll, you simply do a quick dash in whichever direction you would like to.

The evade ability can be very useful with some practice in both PvE and of course PvP. Enjoy this rare gameplay footage of the Twilight Garrison Exotic Chest Piece below from WillisGaming, and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

If you're wondering how to get the Twilight Garrison Exotic Titan Armor, it appears that you just have to be extremely lucky. There's no quest for this armor or anything like that, so you're only hope is Exotic Engrams, Nightfalls, or possibly Xur. Start farming those Three of Coins!

Destiny The Taken King How To use the Interloper and open the "Kill Chest" on The Dreadnaught

In this short guide, we're going to be knocking out two birds with one stone. If you been exploring the Dreadnaught Ship since the Taken King launched, you may have come across the "Interloper" after killing some Taken Hive performing a ritual... It's that ball you pull out of the middle of that thing after you kill the Taken... yeah, you know the one.

Well, if you're like me, you've probably grabbed this darn ball several times, not knowing what the hell to do with it, and you end up running around the Dreadnaught like a chicken with it's head cut off. It's very frustrating (and that timer does not help).

Also, there's this chest, in one of these tiny tunnels that you have to crawl through that every time you try to open it, you die.  Or at least I died as a Hunter (apparently by activating certain Supers you can in fact open the chest without dying... just not the Hunter Supers of course). But anyways, yeah another frustrating mystery to solve.

Well, the Interloper gives you a buff, so that the poison around the chest doesn't kill you! Yay!

So, two birds... one stone... or ball rather.

If my written guide was a little confusing, make sure to check out my video guide above.

Also note that there are 3 separate areas where the Taken Hive perform this ritual. One directly outside the Court of Oryx, the second directly across from the Knight Guarding the Tunnel, and the third is in the video!

Destiny The Taken King - How to get Legendary Weapons & Armor Fast

Destiny's latest expansion pack, The Taken King, once again brings Guardians higher level trials to conquer and overcome, and with Year 1 weapons becoming pretty much useless outside of the Crucible, it's important to get your hands on some higher level weapons and armor.

Here's one way you can snag at least a few pieces of Legendary Armor and Weapons extremely fast, especially if you've been playing Destiny since day 1.

So as you can see, Destiny Year 1 Armor Materials (Hadronic Essence, Plasteel Plating, and Sapphire Wire), have now been replaced by more generic, universal Armor Materials for Destiny Year 2 and the Taken King Expansion Pack.  This means... you no longer need those year one Armor Materials.

Now as always, Bungie being the thoughtful developers that they are... are now allowing players to trade in Destiny Year 1 Armor Materials for Faction Reputation.

So, in order to trade-in your Armor Materials for Faction Rep, you will first need to "Pledge Allegiance" to one of the three factions (Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, Future War Cult).  As soon as you pledge your allegiance to one of these Factions you can immediately begin trading in those old Year 1 Armor Materials for faction rep, and of course as you level up your Faction you will receive Faction Rewards including Taken King Rated Legendary Weapons, Armor, Shaders, Emblems and more!

You can also trade-in other Materials as well, such as Year 2 Armor Materials (not recommended... right now), Motes of Light, Weapon Parts, and a few other things!

So, make sure to take a good look at what each Faction has to offer before pledging your allegiance, decide what looks best for you, join a Faction, and begin getting rid of all your useless Year 1 junk!

How to Increase Your Light Level FAST in Preparation for Destiny The Taken King Expansion Pack!

Here are some tips and tricks to Increase your Guardians Light Level Fast in Preparation for the higher level trials coming with the Destiny The Taken King Expansion Pack!

Pre Taken King Tips
Tip #1 - Purchase a Level 34 Ghost from the Speaker. This will increase your Guardians Light Level by 15 for only 820 Glimmer!
Tip #2 - Equip your Highest Rated Armor. Light Level has always been tied to armor in Destiny, and with The Taken King that hasn't changed.  Make sure you have the highest defense ratings on your armor to help boost your Light Level.
Tip #3 - Pay attention to your Class Items. Class Items now have Defense Ratings tied to them. Having the highest rated class item equipped on your Guardian will now also help increase your Light Level.  Make sure to complete the different Hunter, Warlock, and Titan Quests that came in the Destiny 2.0 Update to receive a level 30 Class with a 160-180 defense rating, and upon completing the quest you'll also receive a Level 40 Class Item with a 220 defense rating.  These will be crucial to obtain before going into the higher level content that's coming with the Destiny The Taken King Expansion on the 15th!
Tip #4 - Equip your Highest Rated Weapons. Light Level is no longer only tied to Defense Rating.  It's also tied to Attack Rating on your weapons as well after the Destiny 2.0 update.  By equipping your highest rated weapons you can easily increase your Light Level with weapons you already have.

Post Taken King Tips
Tip #5 - Don't immediately discard Blue or Rare Armor and Weapons. Bungie has made it clear that even Blue or Rare Armor and Weapons coming in the Taken King Expansion Pack may have higher attack or defense ratings than your current Legendary or even Exotic Armor and Weapons.  Make sure you're comparing each Blue or Rare item with your current items to see how they stack up!
Tip #6 - Artifacts - With Destiny The Taken King you will also be able to equip "Artifacts."  No only will Artifacts boost certain stats like Discipline, Intellect or Strength, but Artifacts will also have a Defense Rating tied to them which means your Light Level will increase immediately upon receiving your first Artifact! Keep your eyes out for these gems scattered around the Dreadnaught Ship!

Xbox Live Marketplace VS Playstation Store DLC Release Times - Xbox One Vs PS4

Today I simply wanted to rant a little bit about the PSN Store, which in my Time Zone (Eastern Standard Time) doesn't update until sometime between 10am and 6pm every Tuesday, while the Xbox Live Marketplace updates around 1-3am every Tuesday.

In almost every way, I think the PS4 beats out the Xbox One.  From Hardware... so games generally perform better on the PS4 than the Xbox One, down to the little stuff... like the fact that the PS4 Dualshock Controller comes with a rechargeable battery pack and a jack for my aftermarket headset, while the Xbox One doesn't.  So for the most part, I would rather play games on my PS4 than my Xbox One.

As a "YouTuber" however, and really as a gamer in general.  Sony has pretty much forced me to start purchasing games for the Xbox One though, simply because they don't update their store earlier. By the time I finally get content on my PS4, download, install it, and capture some gameply, it's almost pointless for me to upload it to YouTube. YouTubers who have the same game on Xbox One have already put out the same content, so by the time my video goes live, well pretty much everybody who wanted to see it has already seen it.  So, Unless Sony fixes this situation and starts updating the PSN store sooner, well, I'm just going to purchase games for the Xbox One instead... unless it's just a PS4 Exclusive.

If you feel the same as me, and feel like Sony could easily find a solution to this problem if they wanted to, please take a moment to Like and Share the video above or maybe just share this page with your friends and network, that would be amazing... and hopefully we can somehow convince Sony to do something about this, because you know they can.

How Exactly Will Thorn Be Affected by Destiny Update 2.0 Nerf?

In Bungie's latest weekly update they outlined a ton of weapon changes that should arrive this September near the release of The Taken King expansion pack in Destiny Update 2.0.0. Among many notable Base and Exotic weapon changes, one change has really caught many players attention, and that's the Nerf to the Thorn Exotic Hand Cannon.

Thorn is a very iconic weapon, that aesthetically yells, "Exotic!"

Just the shear look of the weapon makes a player feel like they've obtained something special. Something that's going to set it apart from all the Common or even more Rare weapons in the game. Thorn is truly an Exotic work of art.

Players who received Thorn early on got a great sense of excitement when completing the Exotic Bounty to unlock the weapon, but once they used it, well... let's just say, it didn't live up to it's aesthetic hype.

Then... Bungie Buffed it. They really Buffed it.

After receiving a larger magazine, a higher fire rate, and an increase to the DoT (Damage over Time) Thorn quickly became the most used weapon in the Crucible. The Buff just completely set this weapon apart from the rest of the go-to Crucible weapons... and if you weren't using Thorn then you better bring your A game, because things are going to be rough.

Since then Bungie has certainly realized that they would indeed have to tone done Thorn's fury at least somewhat, and the changes will go into affect just in time for The Taken King expansion.

Now obviously Bungie didn't want Thorn to be as disappointing as it once was and what they've decided on makes since.  All they're doing is simply Nerfing the Thorn's DoT (Damage over Time) to roughly 1/3 of where it's currently at. Thorn's DoT currently does a total of 42 damage (6 ticks at 7 damage a piece).  Nerfing the DoT by 1/3 will take the damage to a total 14 from 42, and this is a pretty significant Nerf.

Now if Bungie had simply stopped there, many players would have probably just put Thorn back in their Vault.  However, instead of Nerfing Thorn into the ground Bungie decided much better approach and are now allowing the DoT to stack up to 5x.  This means that when you land a shot while the DoT is still active, you can add to the Damage over Time... which you currently cannot do.

Now currently Thorn is capable of two-shoting targets at any range with two precision hits, and the DoT will finish them off.  However, since the DoT is getting Nerfed it appears that Thorn will now require one more shot the seal the deal and finish your opponent.

This is an overall good change that will still leave Thorn as a good go-to Crucible weapon that definitely has some Exotic appeal with the Mark of Devourer DoT, however the Nerf will tone it back some so that there is room to use other weapons and still be competitive.

Check out our complete overview of Destiny Update 2.0.0 here, and make sure to check out our video overview below on how Thorn will really be affected by the Nerf.  Also don't forget to Subscribe to Chance Gaming Media on YouTube!

New Fallout 4 Gameplay Shows Off Combat, Exploration, and Power Armor Gameplay

Fallout 4 is set to release November 10, 2015 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.  Check out the latest Fallout 4 Gameplay showing off combat mechanics and a bit of early exploration just outside of Vault 111.

In my opinion combat looks like it will stay interesting and keep players entertained.  There seem to be a wide variety of enemies, so you won't get bored facing off against the same few enemy types over and over again, which is really nice.  Exploring the Fallout 4 world will of course be loads of fun, especially with the new building mechanics that allow players to set up up camps and bases, and you can even gain allies that will help you defend your camps, which we got to see a glimpse of at this years E3 event.

Overall I think Fallout 4 will easily be one of the best if not the best game of 2015 and 2016, and I'm definitely excited to get my hands on it.

Make sure to Subscribe to my YouTube channel to stay up with all the latest Fallout 4 gameplay and trailers leading up until the release of the game, and of course I'll be uploading my own gameplay once the game finally launches in November!

What do you guys think about the new Fallout 4 Combat and Exploration gameplay?

Destiny's The Taken Weapon Patch Nerfs Gjallarhorn, Thorn, Final Round, & MORE! (Destiny Update 2.0.0 Patch Notes)

In an abnormally large Destiny Weekly Update, Bungie outlined a ton of weapon balance changes we can expect when Destiny's The Taken King expansion arrives.  Update 2.0.0 will address Exotic Weapons like Gjallarhorn, Thorn, The Last Word, and Hawkmoon, while also adding base weapons changes to Auto Rifles, Shotguns, Fusion Rifles and more!

There's a good chance that your favorite weapons will be affected by this update, so you might want to check out our overview, and begin planning for Destiny's The Taken King DLC accordingly.

With the nerf coming to the Gjallarhorn, I personally hope we get a new rocket launcher in The Taken King that is comparably as cool or as powerful as the "Ballerhorn" is now.  It's easily one of the sexiest and definitely the most powerful weapon in the game, so if Bungie can top that, I will really be excited about the weapons The Taken King will bring.

Now of course we've heard for awhile that Hand Cannons would be receiving a Nerf.  A few of the Exotic Hand Cannons mentioned specifically by Bungie were Thorn (Obviously), The Last Word, and Hawkmoon. Now we already knew Thorn was probably going to get a significant Nerf, however, according to what Bungie has outlined, it doesn't appear that it will affect the weapon as significantly as we previously thought.  Basically what they're doing is Nerfing the Base Damage of the DoT (Damage over Time) to about 1/3 of it's current damage, and then they're actually buffing the DoT, allowing it to stack up to 5x with multiple hits with Thorns projectiles. So now Thorn will require at least 3 hits to kill instead of 2. I personally believe this is a sufficient nerf to the weapon, seeing as I don't want it to suck like it did before it's buff awhile back.

Now there are loads of weapon changes, Bungie outlined in their latest update, so make sure to check them out by following the link below, but before you go... What do you think about the upcoming weapon changes in Destiny Update 2.0.0? What do you like and what would you change?

Tremor, Mortal Kombat X's Final? Kombat Pack Fighter Coming to Kombat Kast Tuesday

Ed Boon, Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat X and Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios announced on Twitter they would be showing off Tremor, the final Kombat Pack Fighter announced this coming Tuesday on Kombat Kast.  They'll be breaking down the fighter, his combat style, and we'll most likely get to see some of Tremor's Fatalities and Brutalities as well.

Notice the "?" after final? This seems to suggest that Tremor may not be the final DLC character in Mortal Kombat X.

Obviously this is pure speculation, but we have caught wind that there may be another Kombat Pack going on sale after the release of Tremor.

What do you think?

Make sure to stop by Chance Gaming Media next Tuesday to check out the full stream, or follow the official NetherRealm Twitch channel here

Batman Arkham Knight on PC Won't Be Fixed Until Fall

According to an internal EB Games email that was NOT suppose to reach the public eye, Batman Arkham Knight on PC will not be ready until this Fall.

As most of you already know the Batman Arkham Knight PC version was pulled from store shelves as well as Steam a couple of weeks ago, and according to Warner Bros. Interactive the game was suppose to be back up in a few weeks.

Some retailers still hadn't pulled the broken PC Port from their shelves however, and EB Games sent out this memo advising them to do so, with a small update when the game would be ready,

"As previously advised we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game. The latest information from Warner is that the updates won't be available until Spring. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released."

Now the "Spring" mentioned in the memo was in fact the Australian Spring which runs from September-October, so we won't have to wait almost a year in order for the game to be updated.  However, it is going to take a lot longer than Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios previously announced to the public.

So currently Rocksteady is working with Iron Galaxy Studios, the company that was responsible for Batman Arkham Knight's PC port, and hopefully the game will be fixed and ready for the public as soon as possible.

Is Black Ops 3 Really a Next Gen Game?

Remember when Treyarch announced that Black Ops 3 would only be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC? Remember the excitement Call of Duty fans felt when they thought they were truly getting a next gen CoD game?  Pre-Orders skyrocketed when players heard this!  There hasn't been that much excitement surrounding a Call of Duty game in a long time.  Then... Treyarch announced that Black Ops 3 would indeed be coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, and next gen console owners excitement died.  Please take a moment to check out this video by BDobbinsFTW explaining why Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is NOT a next gen game.

Check out my full walkthrough of the new Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC in this three part series. This is the first story-based DLC for Batman Arkham Knight, currently available to Season Pass holders, and will become available to purchase separately on July 21st.

Batgirl plays very similar to Batman however she doesn't have quite as many gadgets.  She can hack just about anything though, so that allows you to distract enemies more often and also disorient enemies in quite a few instances.

PS4 Will Have Early Access to the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta

According to a card that was found in a gift bag given to attendees of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 "Escape Room Challenge" at Comic-Con 2015, the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta will be exclusive to PS4 players for 5 days. According to the card PS4 early access will begin on August 19 and end on August 23.

Originally we believed that the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta would be available to all players on August 19, but apparently this is not the case.  We're unsure when the Black Ops 3 Beta will be available to everyone else, but it will be sometime after August 23rd.

The Black Ops 3 Beta is considered an Open Beta however to get guaranteed access you will have to pre-order the game.

For eight years Microsoft's Xbox has always owned the rights to timed exclusives on all Call of Duty DLC and early access content, however at E3 2015 Playstation CEO Andrew House announced that Playstation will now be "the new home of Call of Duty."

If you're a big Call of Duty fan who purchased an Xbox 360 or Xbox One thinking that you'd always get your CoD content early... things have changed.

Mortal Kombat X Tremor Moveset Uncovered in Game Files! (Tremor Fatalities, Brutalities, X-Ray & More!)

I know many of you Mortal Kombat X fans are looking forward to Tremor who is the final DLC character set to be released in Mortal Kombat X that we know of so far, and now thanks to a Reddit user who dug through the PC game files, we now have Tremor's entire Moveset including Fatalities, Brutalities, X-Ray, Common Specials, Aftershock Specials, and of course Tremor's Metallic Armor moves and Crystalline moves!

Now we're still unsure when Tremor will be released for Mortal Kombat X, but we're assuming sometime between late August and early July as Predator was just released this week for Kombat Pack owners along with Infrared Scorpion, Commando Johnny Cage, and Carl Weathers Jax.  So, Warner Bros. and NetherRealms will probably let players have fun with these new additions at least for a little while before bringing in the much anticipated Tremor to MKX.

But anyways, here are all of Tremor's Moves according to the PC game files.  Keep in mind that some of Tremor's Common Specials will have different names and properties depending on the Tremor Variation you're using at the time.

Call of Duty Blacks Ops 3 Multiplayer - A Game of Many Games (Fall of Duty: Advanced Destiny Ops 3)

Call of Duty's upcoming title Black Ops 3 seems to draw inspiration from many different games.  The obvious are last year's Call of Duty release, Advanced Warfare and of course with them incorporated the wall running mechanic it seems as though they drew a little inspiration from Titanfall as well.  If you look a little closer though, what other games does it appear Treyarch is getting their inspiration from.

In one clip we saw from E3 it appears that they've designed a weapon very similar to a weapon you might see in Halo.  They've also for the first time every added a Bow and Arrow to the game.  Could this just be a different take on the Crossbow seen in early Black Ops games or is this inspiration directly from Battlefield 4's Phantom Bow?

We can't really say anything for sure... of course, but Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Multiplayer seems to be inspired by many other First Person Shooters, which may not be a bad thing.  I mean at least it's not exactly like Advanced Warfare or even close to Black Ops 2.

According to the official EA Star Wars Twitter account.  IGN will be hosting a live stream of Star Wars Battlefront tomorrow at 1:00pm PDT.  The stream will once again show off the Walker Assault game mode, and will most likely be from the latest build of the game.

It will be interesting to see if much has changed since the Star Wars Battlefront Alpha, which I was able to participate in, but can't really say too much about.  We still don't know what map the gameplay will be from, but I'm guessing Hoth, which was the map we all saw at E3 2015, but it would be really cool if we got to see one of the new maps like Sullest or Tatooine.

Anyways, I'm definitely excited about Star Wars Battlefront and can't wait to see some more gameplay. Dice may even release some new details about the game during the IGN live stream event. IGN's coverage will begin at 1:00pm PDT on according to the Tweet.

Can You Really Make Your PS4 Download Games Faster? Check out my Test!

So, if you've ever downloaded a game on your PS4, you may have noticed incredibly slow download speeds.  I was trying to download a 6GB update for Mortal Kombat X and noticed it was taking about 4-5 times longer than the same file size on my PC.  This made me look into why PS4 download speeds were so much slower, and I ended up coming across several so called "solutions" to the problem.

Please note that in two of the most popular fixes to the slow download speeds on PS4, neither solution shows what their download and upload speeds were before fixing them.  Which means that you just have to trust that they worked, and if they didn't work for you... well, I guess YOU messed up right?

Well, I tried both solution in hopes that I could start downloading my PS4 games faster.

The first solution had me change the Primary and Secondary DNS to a so called "Google" DNS.  This is apparently for the Primary DNS and for the Secondary DNS.  This solution actually resulted in slower download and upload speeds consistently.

Now the second solution, I did see a small jump in my download speeds sometimes, but it wasn't consistent.  This solution was to change your MTU settings from 1500 to 1473.  I ran the connection test several times with the new 1473 MTU setting, and sometimes it would be slightly faster, but it was mainly about the same speed as the EASY setup for the most part.

In my test below you'll see the so called "Google" DNS solution, as well as the new MTU Settings.  I even tried mixing the DNS and MTU Settings, which I do not recommend, and of course my connection speed running the EASY setup. What you'll find is that with these more popular solutions at least, there's no significant change in my PS4's download or upload speed.

I'll continue to search for a solution, but if you want to download your PS4 games faster, there really doesn't seem to be any easy fix to this problem.

World of Warships Open Beta Is LIVE! - Gameplay Impressions and Sign-Up Details

The World of Warships Open Beta is now live on PC.  From the same developers that brought you World of Tanks and World of Airplanes... World of Warships will allow you to battle the high seas in an all new free to play naval action MMO! Check out my first impressions and gameplay from the open Beta below, and if you want to join in battle, go here to sign-up!

Just first impressions I think World of Warships is quite fun and easy to pick up.  It looks like the main factor that will set players apart is simply time played, simply because the more time you put into the game the more exchange credits you'll obtain which can be used to buy much more powerful ships and better upgrades.  So if you play a lot of this game, you'll definitely have an advantage as far as fire power, however there doesn't seem to be a huge skill gap as far as tactics that you can use against your opponent that will increase the skill gap to dramatically.  If you're playing with friends though, that could be an entirely different story.

I personally see World of Warships as more of a fun and laid back MMO, that once you get used to the trajectory of your cannons will be a fairly easy game to stay in the fight and win one on one battles consistently.

These are just my first impressions however, and the game is still in the Beta stage. It's still a work in progress and could change dramatically if they add new mechanics that give more skilled players a larger advantage.  Only time will tell.

World of Warships is a free to play game though, so it's definitely worth a try, and I would highly recommend hoping in the Open Beta to see if the full game will be worth the download and hard drive space.

At this time I'm unsure if there's a release date set for the full game, and I wouldn't be surprised if it came to next gen consoles like the Xbox One since World of Tanks should be hitting the platform soon!

If you missed the link above you can sign up for the Beta here

New Details on the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC Coming to Batman Arkham Knight

Rocksteady Studios has released some new information about the first story-based DLC coming to Batman Arkham Knight, and it looks like for the first time in the franchise players will actually be able to play as Batgirl.  The first DLC called Batgirl: A Matter of Family puts you in Batgirls shoes...cape...mask...and all that as you explore new locations, take on new missions and sidequests, and even team up with Robin.  If you've given up on solving the Riddler's riddles, well don't fret... there's much more coming to Batman Arkham Knight in the future.  Learn more about Batgirl: A Matter of Family in my latest Arkham Knight video.

Hard to believe this is running on a game engine - Unreal Engine 4

In this short video by kooolalala, a Substance Designer on the Unreal Engine 4 we get an amazing glimpse at the capabilities of this truly next gen engine.  With the lighting, textures, and everything looking so authentic and true to life, it's actually hard to believe this is running on a game engine.  If you're a gamer, you should be excited about the graphic fidelity of upcoming games.  Let's just hope the hardware requirements aren't too demanding for this to be practical.  Definitely excited to see upcoming games running on the UE4 Engine! What do you think?  Real or Fake lol?

Can you post Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha Gameplay to YouTube, Twitch etc?

With the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha kicking off just hours ago for selected PC users, I'm sure many of you are wondering, "Can I post my Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha gameplay to social media outlets like YouTube, Twitch and others?"

Well, to simply put it... No.  According to the Disclosure Agreement that players should have read before even accepting the terms of use for the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha, not only can you not post gameplay or screenshots from the Closed Alpha test to any social media outlets such as YouTube or Twitch, but you can't even discuss specifics of the Alpha Trial either.

Failing to comply with the Disclosure Agreement can result in being removed from the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha, and EA could decide to ban your Origin account all together.

Apparently some players did not read the Disclosure agreement before hoping into the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha, as gameplay videos started going up just moments after the Alpha trial launched, and of course were quickly removed from YouTube due to an EA Copyright Claim, which WILL result in a Copyright Strike on these users channels.

So when will you be able to post your Star Wars Battlefront gameplay?  Most likely EA and DICE will allow players to post their gameplay to YouTube during the Star Wars Battlefront Beta.  If there's a Star Wars Battlefront Beta.  Which we assume there will be seeing as DICE is always good about letting players test their games before launch, and I'm sure DICE will want to have a Beta for Star Wars Battlefront in order to stress test their servers before the full release of the game on November 17.  So expect a Star Wars Battlefront Beta sometime between late September and the middle of October on PS4, Xbox One, and PC if there's going to be one at all, and get ready to post your amazing Star Wars Battlefront gameplay then.

DICE LA Announced that the Battlefield 4 CTE is Coming to Xbox One

DICE has discussed making the Battlefield 4 CTE available to console players for quite some time now, and next week their making the first step by releasing the Battlefield 4 CTE on Xbox One for Premium Members!  DICE LA announced on the official Battlefield CTE Reddit that the Community Test Environment would be coming to Xbox One on July 6.  This is exciting news for any Battlefield 4 players on the Xbox One because not only will they be able to help with the ongoing development of Battlefield 4, but with the CTE players will be able to test Prototype weapons, maps and more before they ever hit the retail version of the game.

In order to participate in the Battlefield 4 CTE on Xbox One, players not only have to own Battlefield 4 Premium however, but they will also have to be part of the Xbox One Preview Program.  It's really unclear for the most part how Xbox decides who can join the Xbox One Preview Program... all we know at this time is that it's by invitation only.  So if you have a friend that's already in the program, they can invite you to join.

Even if you do meet all the requirements however, DICE LA states that you're not guaranteed Access to the Battlefield 4 CTE on Xbox One right away, but that as the CTE continues they will be increasing participants.

The Battlefield 4 CTE begins on July 6 for Xbox One, so if you're not part of the Xbox One Preview Program then try and get a friend to invite you.

All Star Wars Battlefront Game Modes Outed on Official EA Star Wars Facebook

The Official EA Star Wars Spanish Facebook page has outed all playable game modes that will be coming with DICE's online shooter, Star Wars Battlefront later this year.  According to these screenshots via Reddit there will be seven game modes including fan favorite modes like Heroes Vs. Villains, Fighter Squadron, and of course the Walker Assault mode which DICE has revealed previously.

Here's the full list of confirmed game modes for DICE's Star Wars Battlefront:

  • Walker Assault
  • Heroes Vs. Villains
  • Fighter Squadron
  • Supremacy
  • Drop Zone
  • Blast
  • Cargo

Now although this was posted on the Official EA Star Wars Spanish Facebook, I would still take this information with a grain of salt, no matter how likely these game modes are to appear.  It sounds like game modes like Heroes Vs. Villains were not suppose to revealed quite yet.  We all hope that it is a coming to Star Wars Battlefront however, because who doesn't want to play as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, and other Star Wars Jedi's and Sith Lords?

Fighter Squadron will also be another game mode that fans of Star Wars Battlefront II will appreciate, especially since DICE has confirmed that Space Battles will not be in their reboot of the series.

Not quite sure what the other game modes listed are all about though. Supremacy sounds like it will be some sort of Conquest type game mode, hopefully with large player counts, but do you guys have any speculation on Drop Zone, Blast and Cargo?  Also what other Heroes and Villains do you want to see in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront?

Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha Sign-Up Details & System Requirements

Star Wars Battlefront is set to launch on November 17, and will be getting a Closed Alpha starting on July 2 for PC players only...

Official Announcement:
“Available for Origin on PC only, the purpose of the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha is to perform a number of technical tests that will help the team at DICE as they continue the development of the game,"

If you did not receive an email from DICE to register for the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha you can sign up here

Here are the system requirements for the Closed Alpha ONLY:
  •     CPU: Quad Core CPU e.g. Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
  •     RAM: 6 GB
  •     OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
  •     Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory
From the system requirements it seems like the Star Wars Battlefront Alpha will be pretty demanding, requiring at least a GTX 680 or AMD 7970 graphics card.  This is certainly not representative of the full release version however, and it's probably because DICE is still working on optimizing the game to it's  full potential.

You'll also only be able to participate in the Alpha if you have a 64-bit OS which is pretty unfortunate, but I'm sure the full release will accommodate players who have a 32-bit OS... hopefully.

Now I'm pretty sure we'll see an Open Beta for Star Wars Battlefront, as DICE is good about letting people try out and test their games with no requirements like Pre-ordering and all of the nonsense. So, if you don't get a Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha invitation, then I'm sure you'll be able to play the game at some point before the November 17 release, and I'm sure the Beta will also be open to PS4 and Xbox One players as well.

So make sure to sign up for the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha if you have a PC that can run it, and may the Force be with you.

Tom Clancy's The Division Beta Registration Info (The Division Gold & Collector's Edition Contents)

Tom Clancy's The Division is set to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 8, 2016 according to Ubisoft's E3 2015 announcement, and just before the full game release players will have a chance to enjoy, and of course test the game in The Division Beta.  Ubisoft announced that The Division Beta will arrive in early 2016, and registration is now taking place. Don't hop out of your seat in excitement thinking that this is an "Open" Beta though.  Ubisoft claims that Beta access is not guaranteed and that signing up will simply put you on a waiting list, and the only way to guarantee access to The Division Beta is to Pre-Order any Edition of the game.  Take a moment to check out my video including some E3 2015 gameplay footage for more information on The Division Beta as well as what each edition of the game will include.

Batman Arkham Knight Poor PC Performance (Max Settings Gameplay)

Despite the solid launch on PS4 and Xbox One for Batman Arkham Knight, the PC version is certainly underperforming.  Currently the game is locked at 30 frames per second on the PC, unless you adjust the frame rate cap in the config files, and even if you do, the game still struggles to maintain a consistent fps even on the highest end machines.  Developer Rocksteady is certainly aware of the issue, and says their working alongside an "external PC development partner" (most likely Iron Galaxy Studios) on a fix.

This is really unfortunate for those of us playing on the PC.  I've currently experienced the lack-luster performance first-hand.  I found it much better not to adjust the config files for a higher frame rate because at least if Batman Arkham Knight is locked at 30fps you don't experience many dips.  Stutters on the other hand are very clearly seen throughout the game however.

Check out the Batman Arkham Knight gameplay above on the highest graphics settings locked at 30fps on the PC, and head over to my YouTube channel for more Batman Arkham Knight gameplay.

Battlefield 2 Map Dragon Valley Returns to Battlefield 4 in Classic Map Project

For the next couple of weeks in the Battlefield 4 CTE players will get to experience the classic Battlefield 2 map Dragon Valley.  Dragon Valley is set to release as part of a Classic Map Pack coming to Battlefield 4 at an unknown date.  The map is a true Battlefield map.  It's massive with loads of armor including Attack Choppers, Scout Heli's, Tanks, and pretty much any kind of armor you can think of.  Check out some gameplay from the the re-invisioned  Dragon Valley map currently available in the Battlefield 4 CTE below.

Dragon Valley is currently in the "Prototype" stage but is already looking really nice imo.  What do you guys think?

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Really Worth the $$$? - Gears of War Xbox One & PC Gameplay Features

So we all know the Gears of War Ultimate Edition coming to Xbox One and PC on August 25 is running at 60 frames per second in 1080p on the new gen console.  Sounds great right?... but is it really worth your money?  If you ask me, better graphics and a higher frame rate really aren't worth it for a game I've already sunk hundreds of hours into, so how does The Coalition plan to push their Remastered version of Gears of War to the masses?  Check out my video below to learn more about what the Gears of War Ultimate Edition has to offer...

Big apologies everyone! After reading ALL the features that Gears of War Ultimate Edition was coming with I automatically assumed that the game would be $60.  However, after doing a little research I found out that you'll be able to get the Gears of War Ultimate Edition almost anywhere for around $40!  This is an absolutely insane value for all of the content you'll get with this game!  Gears of War Ultimate Edition is an absolute must buy for any Xbox One or PC owner who's even halfway interested in the title.  I would've paid $60 lols :)

Gears of War Ultimate Edition Multiplayer Gameplay on Xbox One

Here's some Gears of War Ultimate Edition gameplay on the Xbox One.  The Coalition opened a Multiplayer Beta where players can try out Gears of War in 1080p and 60fps!  Overall the game runs pretty much flawlessly from what I've experienced so far, however there were some matchmaking issues that forced me to "Fresh Reboot" my Xbox One a few times.  That was pretty annoying, but once you get into the game it's smooth as butter, and I'm sure those issues will be ironed out quickly. So here's a bit of Gears of War Ultimate Edition Multiplayer Gameplay on Xbox One.  Nothing too impressive, but you should get a good look out how it runs on the Xbox One.  We got to play on the maps Gridlock and Canals, and there's a bit of gameplay from both maps. . . .definitely two classic Gears maps.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildands Tactical Open-World Shooter - New Gameplay Details (Story, Environment, Co-Op, Singleplayer & More)

Ghost Recon is back in a big way in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, an open-world tactical shooter.  The United States most elite soldiers are called to Bolivia, South America in an escalating battle on cocaine trafficing.  They are tasked with strategically taking down the cartel without starting an all out war in hopes of crippling their operations and destroying their support structure.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is set in the near future.  So you and your friends arsenal of weapons and equipment will reflect what most modern day military powers currently use.  This is a big change from recent Ghost Recon games and their futuristic settings with futuristic weapons.  However, it takes Ghost Recon Wildlands back to the root of the series.  Don't worry though, you'll still be well equipped for the task at hand, with highly capable gadgets like drones that will help you strategically survey your targets camps and facilities, tag targets, and of course deploy the first strike.

The main thing that sets Ghost Recon Wildlands apart from previous Ghost Recon titles however is the enormous, ever changing open-world.  This new living world can effect your teams strategy.  Their are many things you'll need to take into account when deciding how to approach a target.  What time of day is it?  On a sunny day you may be more exposed, so you may want to strike from a distance, however during the day, your enemy targets may be trying to get things done in order to keep their business up and running which can leave them vulnerable for a tactical ambush.  Is it nighttime?  The darkness will obviously leave you more cover, but it could be more difficult for your team to identify targets.  Each mission or objective will need to be approached differently by you and your team, and you'll need to take every variable into account for an effective strike.

Another thing you are your team will need to account for are enemy vehicles and escape routes.  Ghost Recon Wildlands first gameplay reveal has already shown off a few vehicles including a highly mobile multi-passenger dune-buggy, dirtbikes, and even a transport helicopter, and their could be even more vehicles available.  Make sure if you're enemy has a clear escape route, you come prepared to meet them on the road.

Now obviously we've looked at a few ways that the environment can influence how players and teams will need to approach different situations, but with an effective strategy you can also effect the environment.  In Ghost Recon Wildlands you'll be able to interact with local rebels, bystanders, or even military officials.  These interactions can prove beneficial in gaining key intel on targets, or they could even provide major setbacks.  You'll first need to learn the relationships between certain people or groups with your target because they could prove more harm than good.  So make sure you know the locals loyalties.

Ghost Recon Wildlands can be played as a single player game or you can team up with friends for an ultimate co-op experience across the beautiful open-world.  Wildlands sounds like it has an absolute ton of replay value being able to approach missions in different ways with different strategies, so even if you do the same mission twice you'll still have a unique experience.

Surprising enough, this is one of the upcoming games I'm personally looking forward to the most.  There's still no release date set for Ghost Recon Wildlands however I think it's pretty safe to say we'll at least see this game by Summer 2016 or sooner.  The new open-world shooter will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

What do you guys think about Tommy Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.  Are you excited for an open-world Ghost Recon game?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Gameplay - Massive Open World Tactical Shooter

A big surprise just moments ago during Ubisoft's E3 2015 press conference was the announcement of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.  The obvious is that this will be a tactical shooter just like previous Ghost Recon games, however unlike the past, Ubisoft is bringing something new with Wildlands, and will give players more freedom and more options in a massive open-world.

As you can see from the gameplay above you're able to approach situations uniquely.  You can take out your targets from a distance, use a stealth approach, or get up close and personal with an ambush option.  The gameplay shows a great deal of one mission with three different approaches, but from what we've counted it looks like there will be at least 17 different targets or missions, most likely more (check out the info below on other confirmed targets), and Ghost Recon Wildlands will take players across a large variety of landscapes all over the world.

I have to say that this game really surprised me and I can't wait to see more from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.  I know it's pre alpha footage, but the game still looked solid graphics wise, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the biggest Ghost Recon game to date.  Now no release date has been set yet, but you can expect the game to be launcing on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC - New Features & Weapon Impressions! (Tactical Toolkit & Reputation Tier Preselection)

Check out the new Tactical Toolkit coming with the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC update.  The Tactical Toolkit can be equipped in one of your gadget slots and this will increase your interaction speeds on objectives.  For example you'll be able to plant Heist charges faster, take money from Blood Money vaults faster, or untie hostages faster while playing Rescue.  The Tactical Toolkit may be really good for players who are always playing the objective, but since it takes up a gadget slot, for most players I don't see this being a worth while upgrade.

Now Visceral has also added in a feature where you can now Pre-Select your Reputation Boosts, so that you don't have to worry about selecting them while you're in the heat of the battle.  I think this is an absolutely amazing feature and I'm really glad that they're implementing this with the Criminal Activity DLC.

Make sure to check out how each of this new features work in Battlefield Hardline by watching the video above, and also some of my thoughts on all of the Criminal Activity weapons.  Also if you want to stay up to date with everything new in Hardline come check out my YouTube channel for all the latest news and gameplay!  I'll definitely be all over the new Criminal Activity DLC which launches this coming Tuesday!

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC Gameplay - ALL New Maps. ALL New Weapons!

Today I gathered some gameplay footage of all 4 new maps coming in the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC with all of the new Criminal Activity weapons!  So far I'm really enjoying Backwoods and Code Blue the most, but I have a feeling once I grow more accustom to The Beat and Black Friday I may begin to really enjoy those maps as well.  Backwoods by far has the most classic Battlefield map feel, and Code Blue just offers a wide variety of gameplay from close to medium range combat as well as some vertical gameplay on the roof of the Nightclub.  There is quite a bit of variety between all the maps though so if you enjoy Hardline then I think you'll find Criminal Activity a great addition to the game.

As far as the Criminal Activity weapons, I'm really enjoying the M1A1 "Tommy Gun" as expected.  It's certainly not overpowered but it's just a ton of fun to use.  It could also be really useful on the Professional class to allow for a bit more objective based gameplay instead of having to sit back more with a sniper rifle or marksmen rifle.

The FAL Battle Rifle is also another great weapon.  Not sure of the exact stats on it, but it seems to pack a devastating blow to your targets at any range, so if you can control the recoil you can just be an absolute monster on the Battlefield.  I think a lot of Hardline players who enjoy playing enforcer will be running with the FAL quite a bit simply because of it's larger magazine, and it still seems to do good damage.

The SG510 Battle Rifle is also a really good weapon.  It excels at medium to long range, and of course if you can land your shots, since this is a Battle Rifle you'll be outputting a ton of damage.  This weapon was definitely made for the open-forest terrain of Backwoods, so make sure to test it's capabilities there.

And finally we have the KSG12 Pump Action Shotgun.  This weapon is an absolute BEAST!  It's a bullpup shotgun that chambers 14 rounds.  This is the largest round capacity of any shotgun in Battlefield Hardline and it works extremely well on all of the new Criminal Activity maps.  I like controlling the center of the Nightclub on Code Blue with the KSG12 and just daring anyone to come and take it from me.  Well, that and the dance floor!

Oh and who could forget the Nail Gun! The Nail Gun is easily the most fun Battlepickup weapons EVER!  Just get up close and destroy your enemy.  P.S. you don't appear on the minimap when firing :)

I would love to hear what you guys think about the new Criminal Activity gameplay we've seen over the past day or two.  What do you think of the new maps and weapons?  Also don't forget to Subscribe to my YouTube channel for much more Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity gameplay and more!

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity Weapons & More: Tommy Gun, Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle, & Shotgun!

Today Visceral Released new details about some new tools we'll be getting with the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC.  This includes 3 new weapons you can equip as part of your loadout, new details on the Nail Gun Battlepickup weapon, info on the 2 new ammunition types and also details on the 2 new rides!

So first off we're getting 3 new weapons specifically for the Enforcer Class.  These include a new Shotgun, a new Battle Rifle, and a new Assault Rifle.

The Shotgun
The Shotgun is a pump action shotgun only available for the cop side of the Enforcer class.  It holds 14 rounds and Visceral claims this weapon will feel right at home on The Beat and Black Friday maps coming with Criminal Activity.  We still don't know what the shotgun is called, but Visceral says that it's a futuristic shotgun that uses cutting edge technology. Any thoughts?

The Battle Rifle
The new Battle Rifle will only be available to the Criminal side of the Enforcer class.  Visceral is saying this weapon will have an iconic profile with "wooden furniture" for a classic look, but that it will work very well in modern combat.  It's main purpose will be mid to long range combat, but will work very well in close quarters if you can control the weapons heavy recoil.

The Assault Rifle
Yes, the Police side of the Enforcer class will be getting an Assault Rifle.  Visceral says the new assault rifle will have a unique look with a keg style charging handle.  It will offer a slow rate fire and lower recoil than most Battle Rifles so it's easier to control.  It fires a 7.62MM x 51MM round so it will be most effective at mid to long ranges, and has a 24 round magazine which is a larger mag than most Battle Rifles.  This Assault Rifle should give players who have trouble handling the heavy recoil Battle Rifles a much easier to use weapon, and still have access to the Enforcer gadgets like Breaching Charges!

Tommy Gun's for ALL!
Yes the Tommy Gun aka Thompson Sub-Machine gun is coming to Battlefield Hardline with the Criminal Activity update, but will be available to all players who bought Battlefield Hardline as a token of appreciation.  The Tommy Gun will be available to cops and criminals and also be available for all classes!  Visceral says that this weapon will have a slower rate of fire a limited customization options.  The only attachments you'll be able to add to the Tommy Gun are a grip and extended mags.

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity: Bounty Hunter Game Mode Details

Visceral has finally release some information about the new Bounty Hunter Game Mode coming with the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC.  Bounty Hunter sounds very similar to a popular game mode in Call of Duty called Kill Confirmed.  In Kill Confirmed you everytime a player dies they drop a set of dog tags, so you collect the enemy dog tags to confirm a kill, and the enemy attempts to collect your teams dog tags.  The team that collects the most dog tags wins.

The concept in Battlefield Hardline's Bounty Hunter is almost identical expect that instead of dropping dog tags, when a player is killed they will drop "Bounty Coins."  Whichever team collects the most Bounty Coins wins.  Check out the video above for more details on  the new Bounty Hunter game mode including a Pro Call of Duty Tip that I picked up in my CoD days that should work just as good in Bounty Hunter!

Massive Buff Coming to Battlefield Hardline's AWM, R700 & .338 Magnum Rounds

In a recent Battlelog post by Visceral Games' Thad Sasser, we got a ton of details regarding upcoming changes to Battlefield Hardline coming in Patch 2 including more weapon balance changes.  One of the main things that caught my eye was a change to the AWM and the R700 bolt action sniper rifles.  With many players now unlocking the .300 Knockout, these two weapons have kind of been pushed to the side simply because they don't match up to the killing potential of the Knockout with it's one hit kill potential up to 50 meters.

So one thing Visceral is doing in order to make these weapons a more viable option is increasing their max damage, effectively increasing the one hit kill potential, to 30 meters from 12.5 meters which is an absolutely massive buff to both of the weapons.  Now if you've already unlocked the .300 Knockout, you may be thinking, how will this make these weapons viable since the Knockouts one hit kill range is still significantly better.

Well Visceral has taken this into consideration.  Now currently .338 Magnum Rounds increase both the AWM's and R700's one hit kill range to 25 meters from 12.5 meters.  After Patch 2 however, .338 Magnum Rounds will increase both weapons OHK range beyond 30 meters.  Now we're not sure how much of an increase we'll get yet, Visceral is apparently still working this out, but it wouldn't be surprising if we got the same one hit kill range as the .300 Knockout, seeing as .338 Magnum Rounds have quite a few drawbacks, including a reduction in rate of fire (down to 35 rpm) and an increase in vertical recoil.  Since the .300 Knockout doesn't really have any drawbacks apart from it's slower muzzle velocity and still has an extremely long OHK range, personally I think it would be a great idea to let these weapons match the .300's OHK range.

Now Visceral is also considering giving .338 Magnum Rounds increase effectiveness against the armored insert as well.  Now although we don't have any specifics on this, it would be very interesting to see if the AWM and R700 with Magnum Ammo equipped might possibly have a short OHK range against the armored insert which would definitely give players a reason to use these weapons, if not over the .300 Knockout, at least alongside the weapon.

So some very interesting changes coming to the AWM and R700.  I'll continue to keep you guys updated on any other changes coming to Hardline right here, and get the latest Battlefield Hardline news first on my YouTube channel.

What do you guys think about the buff coming to these two bolt action sniper rifles?  Will you be using them more often after Patch 2?

Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC - First Details & Non-Premium Content

We received a few details regarding the Criminal Activity DLC for Battlefield Hardline from Hardline's Multiplayer Producer Zach Mumbach.  Mumbach confirmed 4 multiplayer maps that set in modern day California and Florida areas, two of these maps being night maps, and will offer more destruction.  We'll also be getting some new vehicles as well, however no word if any new weapons will be included in the DLC.  Mumbach did say however that new weapons will be coming to Battlefield Hardline at some point, and that they would be available to all players.  So whether or not we'll see any as part of Criminal Activity we're not sure, but we can expect to receive some new weapons in Hardline at some point down the road as free content for all players.

Mumbach also said that the maps included with Criminal Activity would range in size, but we won't see larger maps coming to Battlefield Hardline until later expansion packs.  He also stated that we "probably" won't see jets in Criminal Activity, which is no surprise, but with the "probably" I guess we can't rule it out as a possibility.  Wouldn't get my hopes up though if jets are your thing.

Now this may not be all the information we receive on Criminal Activity, so don't count out new weapons quite yet.  I'm sure we'll be learning much more about this expansion pack for Battlefield Hardline over the next month or so.

Battlefield Hardline's first DLC Criminal Activity will launch this June if all goes according to plan, and one of the Criminal Activity maps will be playable in the Battlefield Hardline CTE launching later this month.

What do you guys think about the information we've received on Criminal Activity so far?  Also, what do you think about non-Premium players getting free content like new weapons?

Battlefield 4 Weapon Crate DLC - L86A2 LMG Gameplay

Here's some gameplay with the new Battlefield 4 L86A2 LMG.  This weapon will become available to all Battlefield 4 players with a free BF4 Weapon Crate DLC alongside the AN-94 Assault Rifle, Groza-1 Carbine, Groza-4 PDW, and Mare's Leg Lever Action Sidearm!

The L86A2 does have a smaller magazine than the Battlefield 3 version with no option for the Extended Magazine, which is pretty dissappointing, however, if you ever wanted to play the Support Class with an Assault Rifle well this is pretty much what you're getting with Battlefield 4's L86A2.

Check out some gameplay with the new L86A2 Light Machine Gun above, and look forward to this weapon coming in a free BF4 Weapon Crate DLC soon!

Battlefield 4 AN-94 "Prototype" Gameplay - Weapon Crate DLC

Yesterday evening DICE released all 5 weapons we can expect in an upcoming Weapons Crate DLC onto Battlefield 4 CTE servers.  The update which will also include night maps as well as other changes is expected to release this Spring, hopefully by the end of May.  The 5 weapons you can look forward to are the AN-94 assault rifle, the Groza-1 Carbine, the Groza-4 PDW, the L86A2 LMG, and the Mare's Leg rifle sidearm.  First thing we had to test out was the AN-94 seeing as it was a personal favorite assault rifle in Battlefield 3.

Now the new Battlefield 4 AN-94 definitely isn't the same weapon we saw in Battlefield 3, at least now.  Currently the weapons max rate of fire is 600 rpm, even in burst fire mode.  In Battlefield 3 there was no delay between burst so you could technically hit upwards of 1200 rpm.  That's not saying that Battlefield 4's AN-94 is not a great weapon.  It just doesn't have the close quarters effectiveness as we witnessed in BF3.  However at range this is easily one of the most accurate easy to use assault rifles, and that definitely gives the AN-94 a place on many of Battlefield 4's larger maps like Rouge Transmission or even Golmud Railway.

Now the weapon stats could very well be adjusted before we see the AN-94 hit the retail version of BF4.  This is just the Alpha stage of the weapons life.  As you can tell by the gameplay, the weapon doesn't even have textures yet.  So it's currently being tested and I'm sure DICE will be taking lots of feedback from the Battlefield 4 CTE community.

Please take a moment to check out some gameplay of the AN-94 Prototype above, and let us know your thoughts.  Also don't for get to Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, and more!

Battlefield Hardline News: Weapon Balance Coming in Patch One! (K10 Nerf, AKM Nerf, & More)

Here's a few weapon balancing changes we might see in Patch One for Battlefield Hardline.  Visceral Games outlined these changes the other day, stating that these are changes that they are "considering."  So nothing is set in stone at this point, and hopefully we will see a few more changes than these.  With everyone once again gravitating towards the M16A3 and M416 because of their extreme versatility, it would be nice if these weapons were rebalanced and tweaked, if for nothing else, so that we would see a little bit more variety on the Battlefield.

What do you guys think about the changes Visceral has outlined?  What other changes would you like to see?  Please feel free to leave your thoughts, and don't forget to Subscribe to Chance Gaming Media on YouTube for the latest Battlefield Hardline News, Weapon Review & much more!

Chance list straight from Visceral Games post on Battlelog

- K10: Reduce bullet damage to 33
- Saiga and PTR: reduce recoil to bring more in line with Cop faction DMRs
- HCAR and HK51: reduce recoil to bring more in line with SCAR-H and SA-58
- .410 Jury: Increase damage per pellet to become more effective
- FMG-9 and M/45: Increase damage per round to 25 and push out falloff start range to make these weapons more effective
- Battlerifle min damage increased to 25 across the board
- AKM min damage reduced to 24

Battlefield Hardline .300 Knockout Weapon Review & How to Unlock! (Battlefield Hardline Best Sniper Rifle)

Here's our full review of the Professional Class .300 Knockout bolt action sniper rifle from Battlefield Hardline including weapon stats and how to unlock this weapon.  This is another weapon making it's first appearance in the Battlefield series, and it can only be unlocked by completing the Professional Syndicate Assignment.

Now the thing that makes the .300 Knockout such a great weapon is it's killing potential up close.  This weapon actually does a 100 damage up to 50 meters.  This means that if you hit your target in the chest or above within that range then they will die . . .apart from a Mechanic with the Armored Insert equipped.  This type of damage model has not been seen yet in a Battlefield game, and it would be interesting to see if this carries over to future Battlefield titles.
