Destiny: Xur Location & Exotic Items for Week 9! (Truth, Mask of the Third Man, Crest of Alpha Lupi, Sunbreakers)

Hey guys! TGIF! Xur is back with more Exotic Armor and Weapons! This week he has the Exotic Rocket Launcher Truth, which is a really great rocket launcher, as well as the Crest of Alpha Lupi for Titans, Mask of the Third Man for Hunters, and once again he has the Sunbreakers for Warlocks.  He also brings an Exotic Helmet Engram, a few Telemetries as always, plus a couple of Rare Sparrow Upgrades, and of course 5 Heavy Ammo Synthesis for 1 Strange Coin.  Take a moment to check out my video overview of these Xur's Location and Exotic Items for Week 9, as well as some suggestions!

Destiny VS Call of Duty Advanced Warfare - (Multiplayer Review)

Today we're going to be comparing the multiplayer sides of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Destiny! If you can only choose one, which one would you get?

Destiny 2 & More DLC Confirmed by Activision!

According to Activision's CEO Eric Hirschberg, Bungie is already working on future DLC's for Destiny (beyond "The Dark Below" expansion and "The House of Wolves") as well as the "next full game release." So, it looks as though all of us who really enjoy Destiny can expect Destiny 2. According to reports Destiny currently has around 9.5 million registered users who average 3+ hours of gametime every single day, so it's no surprise that we should expect another Destiny title with that kind of success.  Destiny sold more than $325 million in games in it's first 5 days, which makes it the largest launch in all-time gaming history for a brand new IP, and ranks within the top 10 among all time game launches.

No reports yet when we should expect Destiny 2, but we imagine that it will probably come within the next 10 years, as that's how long Bungie's publishing contract with Activision was set for.  Bungie says that they have a story to tell with Destiny that they plan on releasing over the next 10 years, and that story will obviously continue in future expansion packs and now it seems, Destiny 2.

Destiny: How to Solo "Cerberus Vae lll" Weekly Nightfall Strike (Meridian Bay, Mars) Valas Ta'aurc

Hey guys! Today I have another Weekly Nightfall Strike Solo Guide.  This week we're taking on the Cerberus Vae Nightfall Strike in an attempt to take down Valas Ta'aurc.  This is a pretty easy strike to solo, but it will require a lot of patience.  So get comfortable and take your time, and you should have no problems.  Check out my full walkthrough guide below for an easy strategy to solo the Cerberus Vae Weekly Nightfall Strike, and take down Valas Ta'aurc easy!

Destiny: Xur Location & Exotic Items Week #8 - Patience and Time, Armamentarium, Lucky Raspberry, Voidfang Vestments, Exotic Helmet Engram

Happy Halloween! This week Xur has Patience and Time!  He also brings us "Flight of Shadows," a special Halloween Treat, that will change the appearance of your respawns (when it works)!  For our armor pieces Xur brings us the Armamentarium for the Titan class, The Lucky Raspberry for the Hunters, and Voidfang Vestments for the Warlocks.  He also has an Exotic Helmet Engram, as well as Auto Rifle, Hand Cannon, and Shotgun Telemetries.  You can as always pick us some upgrades or mods for your Sparrow that will increase the speed and durablity, and of course he offers five Heavy Ammo Synthesis for a single Strange Coin.

If you don't have Patience and Time yet, that would be my recommendation for Xur's Exotics this week.  It's a great PvP sniper!  Not only does it have low recoil, so you can land those follow up shots much easier, but once upgraded, you also get active camouflage while ADS, and you can also see your minimap while ADS.  OP . . .and that's what we want!  Please take a moment to check out my video overview of Xur's Location and Exotic Inventory above, and have a happy and safe Halloween!

Destiny Update Patch Notes - Atheon Patched, Vault of Glass Changes, & General Fixes

According to the patch notes for Destiny's latest update (Update, the final battle with Atheon has been patched so that players can no longer knock him off of his platform in order to beat the final battle and collect their reward.  Also, Atheon will now be teleporting three random players through the timestream and no longer the three players furthest away from him.  This will in turn make the encounter the way that Bungie intended it to be, and players will really have to work for the rewards they receive for completing it.

Beyond that the update claims to improve stability for all players, and said that they've narrowed down that issues for error codes "Zebra" and "Cockatoo" and now there will be different error codes based on a more precise issue.  Now although they hoped to improve stability, post-patch I've personally been getting sent back to orbit much more frequently, with a message claiming connection issues (error codes "bee" and "fly"), and have also heard reports of other players having the same troubles.  Hopefully we'll get a patch very soon that indeed does deal with these issues.

Destiny: How to Solo "The Nexus" - Weekly Nightfall Strike Guide (Ishtar Sink, Venus)

Here's my strategy for soloing "The Nexus" Weekly Nightfall Strike.  With this particular Nightfall make sure to equip a Void LMG, and either the Ice Breaker Exotic Sniper Rifle or any Void Sniper Rifle.  I personally went with the Ice Breaker simply so I didn't have to worry about ammo.  As always make sure to stockpile some Heavy Ammo Synthesis and if you're not using the Ice Breaker, make sure to purchase some Special Ammo Synthesis as well.  Check out my video guide below for a step-by-step walkthrough of "The Nexus" Weekly Nightfall Strike and please take a moment to Subscribe to my YouTube channel for more Destiny Tips, Tricks, Guides & More!

Destiny: Xur Location & Exotics Week #7 (October 24-26) - Armamentarium, Crest of Alpha Lupi, Voidfang Vestments, Suros Regime, & Exotic Gauntlet Engram!

Here's Xur, Agent of the Nine's Location for Week #7 (October 24-26)!  This week Xur brings back the Armamentarium Chest Piece for Titans, as well as the Crest of Alpha Lupi for the Hunters, and the Voidfangs Vestments Chest Piece for Warlocks.  He's also brought back the Suros Regime Auto Rifle (easily one of the best), and an Exotic Gauntlet Engram!  Check out my complete overview and the exact location of Xur in the video above, and Subscribe to Chance Gaming Media on YouTube for more Destiny content!

Destiny: The Last Word Exotic Hand Cannon Review! - Best Weapon in Destiny?

Hey guys!  Here's a review of Destiny's Exotic Hand Cannon "The Last Word!"  This is easily one of the best weapons in Destiny.  I personally received this weapon as a reward for completing a Vanguard Tiger Strike, however I've heard it can also be dropped as a Crucible reward, and can also be found in The Vault of Glass Raid.  Keep your eyes peeled for this weapon because this is definitely a keeper!  Please take a moment to check out my full review of  "The Last Word" including the mods I use that I believe maximize this weapons potential.

Destiny - How to Solo "The Summoning Pits" - Weekly Nightfall Strike Guide

Hey guys! Here's a guide showing you the strategy I use to solo Destiny's Weekly Nightfall Strike, "The Summoning Pits."  This can be a pretty chaotic Nightfall Strike even if you're doing it with friends, but if you follow these steps it will make it much easier on you or your Fireteam.

How to Solo "The Summoning Pits" - Weekly Nightfall Strike:

Make sure you have an Arc weapon to take on the Knights as the Arc Damage Modifier is active and you'll be able to defeat them very easily with Are weapons.  You may also want to equip a Solar weapon as well to deal with the Wizards because they do in fact have solar shields.  If you have the Icebreaker Exotic Sniper Rifle which was for sale by Xur . . .this is a great choice because you don't have to worry about ammo and it deals solar damage.

Destiny - Pocket Infinity Exotic Fusion Rifle - Weapon Review!

Destiny's Pocket Infinity Exotic Fusion Rifle can be unlocked by completing the "Shattered Memory Fragment" Exotic Bounty.  The Pocket Infinity may not seem like much when first unlocking the special weapon, but make sure to be patient and give this weapon some time because once you unlock the Pocket Infinity mod, that's when this weapon comes alive.  This mod enables the weapon to fire in full auto, and absolutely destroys targets in close range.
Once you unlock the Pocket Infinity mod I suggest equipping the Extended Mags over the increased range mod or the reduced recoil mod, and playing somewhat aggressive.  The Extended Mags increase this weapons magazine from three rounds to eight rounds, and with the weapons full auto capabilities you can chew through multiple targets with one magazine in close proximity.  For more details on the Pocket Infinity Exotic Fusion Rifle please take a moment to check out my video review above.

Battlefield 4 - DICE Details Fall Patch Highlights in New Gameplay Video

If you don't feel like reading through all the patch notes for Battlefield 4's fall patch, don't fret.  DICE has you covered with a new gameplay video that highlights all the major changes.  The video covers Visual Recoil, Jet Changes, Game Mode Changes, Netcode, and much more.  Check out the video below and let us know what you think about the Battlefield 4 Fall Patch.

Battlefield 4 - Second Final Stand Testing Session?

It's been several weeks since DICE allowed CTE testers to try out the new Final Stand DLC maps.  DICE says they've taken lots of feedback from this test and have made several improvements.  According to a recent interview with David Veselka from MP1ST, it looks like we may be seeing another Final Stand DLC test with the new changes and improvements added before we finally see it launch later on down the road.

DICE Producer David Sirland told Veselka, “So, basically, we showed stuff before it’s actually even Alpha and get a lot of initial feedback and then we will try to work on that and show it again and, you know, get another set of feedback and hopefully we’ll address a lot of the issues people had the first time around. And, then, eventually release it [as] hopefully a more stable and high quality release because of it.”

So what do you guys think?  Do you think we'll be seeing another Final Stand test?

Check out the full interview here.

What you need to know about Destiny's Iron Banner Tournament (Fast Legendary Armor & Weapons!)

The Iron Banner is a limited time Crucible event that offers players who participate unique rewards including Legendary armor and weapons, unique Emblems and Shaders, and of course a unique Class Item.  One thing you'll want to be aware of with this particular event is that unlike your everyday Crucible games, in the Iron Banner Tournament, level advantages are enabled.  This means that your weapon and armor stats that you've worked so hard to attain will actually come into play.  Players at higher levels will have increased defense and deal more weapon damage, while players at lower levels won't have as much defense or deal as much damage.  Like Lord Saladin says, "The Iron Banner is not for the weak," simply meaning that players who have put the time in to level up will be at a significant advantage over players who aren't quite there yet.

Destiny Infinite Chest Glitch - Infinite Spinmetal, Helium Filaments, Spirit Bloom, & Relic Iron

So as we all know Bungie is trying to do away with loot farming in Destiny.  They've already completely nerfed all the best Engram farming locations we all once knew and loved.  However, we are gamers, and gamers always find a way around a developers patches.  That being said, here's a brand new method in Destiny to farm not only Engrams, but Materials as well that are obviously essential for upgrading your armor, and can even be used to purchase Crucible and Vanguard Marks, and even Reputation from the respective Quartermaster's in The Tower.

During my 15-20 minute run I landed tons of materials, and of course lots of Glimmer and Uncommon (Green) weapons and armor.  Not only that, but in that short time I also landed three blue Engrams and a Special Ammo Synthesis.  I've also heard reports of players receiving Legendary Engrams from this method, and with Destiny's new Engram system, you're guaranteed Legendary or higher weapons and gear from Legendary Engrams.  Check out my video guide above to see exactly how to take advantage of this new Infinite Chest Glitch before Bungie patches this loot farming method as well.

So I did end up seeing if the Infinite Chest Glitch would work on the other maps, and as I suspected it worked just as well as the Earth run.  So check out these short video guides below that will show you some really good locations for farming different materials like Helium Filaments, Spirit Bloom, and Relic Iron!

Destiny Patch 1.0.2 Patch Notes - Live Now!

Hey guys!  The latest Destiny patch (Patch 1.0.2) is live!  This means an overall buff to the Engram system, meaning that we you will always receive an item of the same class or higher than the Engram you decrypt, and Engrams are now potential rewards for the Vanguard Tiger Strike Playlist, Daily Heroic Missions, and Weekly Heroic Strikes.  Since Bungie is doing away with Engram farming these should enable players to get their Engrams more naturally as they play the game.  They've also reduced the time limit on Bastion and First Light for the Clash and Control game modes to bring them in line with the non-vehicle maps.  Why they changed this I'm not exactly sure, but I thought the increased time limit was nice since the maps are larger and it generally took you longer to encounter an enemy player than the other maps.  Check out all the changes and details straight from Bungie below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Legendary (purple) engrams will always produce a Legendary quality item or higher
Note: Legendary engrams that exist in your inventory will change to Rare quality items when the patch is applied. However, decoding these engrams will still produce the same results as before
Rare (blue) engrams will always produce a Rare quality item or higher
        Chance for Legendary gear increased
Materials: Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Energy promoted to Legendary quality (from Rare quality)

Destiny: Vex Mythoclast - Exotic Fusion Rifle Review - Most Overpowered Weapon?

Hey guys check out this quick weapon review and gameplay of the Vex Mythoclast Exotic Fusion Rifle.  The Vex Mythoclast is easily one of the most difficult weapons to attain in Destiny and at this moment seems to be completely overpowered.  Not only does this weapon do a ton of damage to the body, but the headshot damage is well on par with Scout Rifle damage.  Get a few unlocks for the Mythoclast and you can increase your magazine capacity from 21 to 56 rounds per magazine, meaning you'll be able to drop a ton of targets before you ever have to think about reloading.  The Vex Mythoclast is currently only obtainable by defeating Antheon in the Vault of Glass Raid on Hard Mode.  It will be no easy task to unlock, so if you're looking to wield a weapon that's far beyond any other competitors, conquer the Raid soon before the Mythoclast is nerfed.  Enjoy the review and gameplay of the Vex Mythoclast below from DattoDoesDestiny, and let us know your thoughts on this Exotic weapon in the comments!

Battlefield 4 CTE Vehicle Initiative Sneak Peak, PDW's, & Fan Favorite Weapons Returning? (AN-94, G3A3, M16A3)

Today we have another sneak peak of possible changes coming to Battlefield 4, including even more PDW changes and an even further reduction to the overall weapon damage model. This is also our first look at the Battlefield 4 CTE Vehicle Initiative.  Please keep in mind that these changes are simply being considered at this time, and will hopefully be tested on BF4 CTE servers in the next couple of weeks.  They are not guaranteed to make it to the retail version of the game.  Also, it looks as though some fan favorite weapons may be returning to Battlefield 4 in a possible Weapon Only DLC, including the AN-94, G3A3, and even the M16A3.  Check out the full list of possible changes below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Battlefield 4 CTE Changes:

Further reduction in the weapon damage model from slightly lower than 25 max damage to slightly higher than 20 max damage. (this reduction would bring it more in line with the Bad Company 2 damage model.)

Increased headshot multiplier for 5.56mm Assault Rifles to possibly 2.15. (No changes to 7.62mm Assault Rifles)

ACE 23 and MPX will be getting real-life magazine capacity, balanced with a longer reload time (about 150 milliseconds), also a increased FSM (first shot multiplier) from 2.0 - 2.2

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Trophies and Achievements

Here's a first look at many of the Trophies and Achievements you can expect in Sledgehammer Games upcoming first person shooter, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.  Most of these you'll gather without even thinking about completing an achievement or earning a trophy, but some of these achievements will require you to spend some time to complete a certain task.  Check out the full list of trophies and achievements below for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare New Features, New Maps & More! (Exo Co-Op Survival Mode Details)

Hey guys!  Here's a first look at many of the new features coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare including a first look at some new Multiplayer maps (Green Band, Spike Drone, Horizon)  we haven't yet seen, and insight into the new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare singleplayer campaign, and details on the new Exo Co-op Survival Mode.  Check out this video interview from IGN First Look and check out the new features that peaked our interest below!

Exo Co-Op Survival Mode

1-4 Player Co-Op (Split Screen and Online Matchmaking Available!) Survival that literally NEVER ENDS!!  Waves get get increasingly harder as your progress, and there are no set number of rounds.  They've also added a "Progressive Circut" which runs you or your team through all of the maps to give players a sense of completion.

There are three different character classes players can choose from.  As you complete each round you'll earn Upgrade Points that can be spent  to purchase new weapons and even Exo upgrades.  There will also be different objectives that your team must complete that will come during certain rounds, that if your team doesn't complete you will be penalized.  Some objectives include capturing a certain number of dog tags, gathering intel, or holding hardpoints.

Battlefield 4 Teamplay Initiative Patch 2 Notes

Battlefield 4 CTE Teamplay Initiative Patch 2 Notes are here!  DICE once again touched on the changes they would like to see come to the Final Stand Patch, and outlined the latest changes that are now available on CTE Servers.  Check out the changes below a let us know your thoughts in the comments!

These are the changes in this patch:

    Vehicle HUD Visibility
Changed all vehicle HUDs to render better against bright backgrounds.
Targeted at the snow maps of Final Stand – but also to improve the base game. Smaller tweaks to important gauges and details in some vehicle HUDs.
Defensive Enemy Icon Shield now optional
Now a option under Gameplay/Advanced in the ememy section, turned off by default! (most of you probably want to turn it on again!)
    Projectile Debug Overlay fixes
Improved matching of client X vs server X to clarify when inconsistencies happen. We’ve gotten quite a lot of feedback where you guys didn’t apply the caveats outlined :).
Fix for an issue with Joystick hot-plugin support
Fixed animation issue when transitioning into Sprint

Destiny Queen's Wrath Bounty Guide - Devil Archon and Draksis Locations

Hey guys!  Here's a quick Destiny guide for those of you participating in the Queen's Wrath event. Today I'm going to show you how to find the Devil Archon and Draksis so you can earn Queen's Reputation by completing the Archon Slayer and Last Days of Winter Bounty.  I would highly recommend completing these two bounties as they offer twice as much Reputation as the other two PvE bounties, and took me less time to complete.

Destiny's Best Location for Farming Engrams! - Mars: Valley of the Kings

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be showing you the absolute best location to farm Engrams in Destiny, including Legendary (purple), Decoherent (blue), and of course Green Engrams.  I've run many of the other good Engram farms in the game including the Temple of Crota farm on the Moon and the tunnel farm on Earth, but this farm, from what I experienced was by far the best!  You can also easily farm this location by yourself with no worries.

What you want to do is head to the planet Mars and go to the "Valley of the Kings."  You'll notice a giant ship surrounded by Cabal.  There's a nice little sniper point directly in front of the Cabal where you can post up with a sniper rifle and a pulse rifle and easily pick them off at range without them ever even firing a shot at you.  I generally try not to waste my ammo on the "big guy" in the middle simply because it takes at least two shots with a sniper rifle to take him out, and I don't want to leave my sniper location unless I absolutely have to.

Destiny Game Guide - All Five Gold Chest Locations on Earth!

Check out this easy to follow, step-by-step Destiny guide showing you exactly how to find all five Gold Chests' on planet Earth!  Gold Chests' offer some of the best loot and gear, compared to other chests' you'll come across that will generally just give you Glimmer and materials specific to the location you're in.  Check out my guide below and start collecting those rare and hard to come by items!

Destiny Game Guide - How to get Exotic Armor & Weapons Fast!! - The Life Exotic

Here's a quick Destiny guide showing you how to get Exotic Armor and Exotic Weapons the fastest way possible and guaranteed for your class!  Sure Exotics drop in The Crucible, and rarely you'll find them on "Hard" Strike Missions, but they're hard to come by, and sometimes you get an item you can't even equip because it's for a completely different class.  Well today we're going to show how to get those Exotics quick and easy and always for your character!

First off, you must be level 20 or higher to equip or purchase Exotic Armor or Weapons.  This is literally the only requirement.   Once you've achieved level 20, simply locate Xur, an "Agent of the Nine," in The Tower North (rumors say he only appears on Friday, Saturday, and sometimes on Sunday mornings, and often times in different locations ...however this is where we found him).  Xur is an Exotic Armor and Weapons merchant who also offers "Curios" which are other unique items to the merchant which can not only help you stand out more among the other Guardians in Destiny, but also help you level up specific weapons much, much faster.  Xur is willing to sell you his Exotic merchandise and unique "Curios" in exchange for Strange Coins and in some cases (ex. Exotic Engrams) Motes of Lite.

Battlefield 4 CTE Initiative #3 - Teamplay Patch 1 Notes

Today DICE released the first patch for the Battlefield 4 CTE Initiative #3: Teamply Initiative on CTE servers.  These changes don't seem like they would affect teamplay in BF4 directly, but nevertheless they seem like some good changes so disappointment here.  Check out the Patch Notes for this first update for the Teamplay Initiative and let us know what you think in the comments.

These are the changes in this patch:

    Changed behaviour of spawning Battlepickups
Will re-spawn after 60 seconds if one of these happen: Weapon runs out of ammo, weapon is dropped (when player changes weapon, dies, disconnects), and dropped weapon times out and unspawns, Deployed vehicle is destroyed.
Fix for Decoy Pack Scale issue
    Thank you for reporting this!

Animation fixes:

Changed the blend behaviour when you transition into sprint (1st person)
    Fixed 1st person reload issue
The reload got omitted if you pressed the reload button after an empty reload.
Potential fix for the guy sliding around in crouch
Fixed problem where a Prone to Stand anim when reloading
    Potential Melee animation fix
Fix for when melee animations  could get out of sync and play different animations for attacker and defender.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Performance Review

It's not a Titan, but . . .if you're in the market for a new GPU that offers a great price to performance ratio? Check out the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 980.  The 980 is the replacement graphics card for the recently discontinued 780 TI, and guess what?  You'll be able to pick it up for less than the popular graphics unit while also getting a slight performance boost.  780 TI owners . . .don't fret, there's really no need to upgrade to the 980, the performance increase is only slight.  It's definitely there, but to upgrade just wouldn't be worth it, as the 780 TI is still a great card and will most likely be relevant for years to come.

If you don't own a 780 TI though, The Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 will allow you to run your favorite games with the absolute best performance for the price we'll most likely see in the upcoming years. Overall the 980 will be one of the best graphics cards for 2014-2015 and possibly 2016.  Check out the performance overview below of the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, and let us hear your thoughts in the comments!

Destiny Upcoming Events: Combined Arms & Queen's Wrath

In Bungie's latest Destiny blog post they've gone into a little bit more detail on two of their upcoming events, Combined Arms and Queen's Wrath, and also added a new Salvage event to the schedule, stating "There should always be something new to experience every time you play Destiny."

Battlefield: Hardline Official Hotwire Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer

Hotwire is a vehicle-focused game mode brand new to the Battlefield franchise.  The game mode looks to offer a new chase-style gameplay with some infantry elements incorporated as well.  In the Battlefield Hardline: Hotwire Trailer you may notice players placing down road blocks in an attempt to stop a runaway sedan.  It's unsure at this time exactly how the game mode works, but it seems the police are trying to stop the sedan, and the criminals are trying to evade their attempts.  Seems rather interesting and could bring a neat Need For Speed type gameplay to Battlefield 4 which would definitely bring something fresh to game. What we can take away from the new trailer is that Hotwire will be a face paced, high action game mode that will hopefully offer Battlefield fans a new, fresh, and thrilling experience.

Check out the new Battlefield: Hardline Hotwire Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer below and let us know what you think about the new game mode in the comments!

Battlefield 4 CTE: Teamplay Initiative Begins

So it begins . . .again.  Another Battlefield 4 CTE Initiative.  This time DICE is focusing on the Teamplay aspect of the game.  Many of the changes they plan to make we should see by the release of Final Stand according to DICE, however there are a long list of changes we can look forward to post the Final Stand release.

Many of these changes look very desirable in my opinion, escpecially the "Random callout cleanup."  Although it's easy for a player who is paying attention to take advantage of this feature, it really sucks when someone takes advantage of your random callouts.  In this particular case the random chatter will only be called out to your teammates, which overall will be a very nice change.

Lots of good stuff in this first update, make sure to check out the full list of upcoming changes for the Battlefield 4 CTE Teamplay Initiative below, and take a moment to leave your thoughts and ideas that could possibly make teamplay and objective play much more desirable in Battlefield 4.

Destiny Tops $325 Million In Five Days and 100 Million Hours Played

If you've been enjoying Destiny as much as I have, then as you already know, you're not alone.  In fact, Destiny's sells numbers are pretty astonishing.  Destiny is actually the biggest new franchise launch in gaming history.

According to Activision, Destiny grossed over $325 million in sales in the games first five days after launch.  Not only that,  Activision has also stated that players have already logged in over 100 million hours in online play and participated in over 137 million activities.

As much as people and many reviewers seem to love hating Destiny, the game's fans are telling a different story about Destiny simply by the fact that they are playing it . . .and playing it alot.  Activision stated, "Millions of gamers are having a great time playing Destiny and can't put their controllers down."

Destiny Events Inbound - Vault of Glass, Combined Arms, Queen's Wrath, & Iron Banner

Looks like we have even more Destiny events to look forward to over the coming weeks.  In a previous post I mentioned that Bungie was introducing a Salvage playlist to the Crucible this Saturday.  In this particular even players will fight for "relics and new rewards" according to the official Destiny Twitter account.

Bungie has now revealed even more events that we can look forward to including Vault of Glass which is a Level 26 Raid (beginning on Sept 16, so level up now) in which players can earn Raid Set Gear and more.  Bungie has also announced three other events (Combined Arms, Queen's Wrath, and Iron Banner) which they haven't gone into too much detail about yet.

Check out the full lineup of upcoming Destiny you can look forward to over the next several weeks!

Destiny: Salvage Crucible Event "This weekend only"

According the the official Destiny Twitter account they're adding a Salvage playlist to the Crucible where players can "fight for relics and claim new rewards."  The playlist is only available this weekend so make sure to hop on Destiny and secure your rewards!

Activision and Bungie are definitely doing a great job of keeping the Destiny "hype train" rolling announcing that there will be several events in the upcoming weeks not only for PvP, but PVE as well.

Check out the tweet below for the official announcement and follow the link for a short event teaser!

Battlefield Hardline: Hotwire Info Coming Sept 18

According to Battlefield's official Twitter account, we'll be learning about Battlefield Hardline's vehicle-focused game mode Hotwire on September 18.

Although Battlefield Hardline is focused around a cops vs. robbers theme, which you would think might leave the game limited in it's number of game modes, Hardline's shaping up to offer much more than expected.  In an interview of Twitter just last week, Visceral Games General Manager Steve Papoutsis stated that Hardline would have five all new game modes right at the launch of the title.  Visceral Games has also confirmed that the Conquest and Team Death Match game modes would also be in the title.

Battlefield 4 Final Stand: Hangar 21 Map Review

Check out my review of the brand new Battlefield 4 Final Stand DLC map, Hangar 21:

Hangar 21, although it's fairly large map, is extremely infantry focused.  Each team does have access to a two jets (one attack jet & one stealth jet), as well as two transport choppers per team.  There are also snowmobiles and quad bikes that will help you get from point to point on the Conquest version of the map much more quickly.

Hangar 21 also introduces Launch Pods into the game that literally launch players across the map though the air, and are extremely useful on this particular map for getting from one side of the map to the other as quickly as possible.

Battlefield 4 Final Stand: Operation Whiteout Initial Review

Today I'm reviewing the map Operation Whiteout from the Battlefield 4 Final Stand DLC.  I'm also going to touch on a few other things, including the new Railgun Battle pickup weapon, the new Hovertank vehicle, the SC-42 stationary emplacement weapon, and the new gadget available to all classes, the DS-3.

The Operation Whiteout map is available right now as part of the Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment.  The reason DICE has made this map available in the CTE is simply for testing purposes.  They've stated that they want players to test the map and inform them of any bugs, glitches, and other things that hinder an enjoyable gameplay experience.  They've said they want the Final Stand maps to be as good as they can possibly be, and so they're allowing CTE players to help them get there.

Please take a moment to check out my video review, and let me know what you guys think of the new Operation Whiteout map coming soon with the Battlefield 4 Final Stand expansion.

DICE has revealed the Final Stand map names in the CTE Battlelog, and the new Final Stand map Operation Whiteout seems to be playable on private servers.  These Final Stand maps will most likely become available to CTE testers later today, because DICE's Tigge told CTE testers the other day that there would be a big surprise coming to the CTE servers on September 9th (today).

Battlefield: Hardline - Second Beta Coming to All Platforms, 150 Ranks, 5 New Game Modes, No Co-op . . .

On Twitter, Visceral Games General Manager Steve Papoutsis confirmed quite a few details the Battlefield community has been wanting to know, and also revealed some interesting new details.

Firstly, Papoutsis confirmed that the Battlefield: Hardline "Beta [is] coming to all platforms before launch."  Previously, in an interview at Gamescom 2014, Papoutsis only confirmed the Hardline Beta for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and stated the he was unsure if the Beta would also be hitting the older generation platforms.  Well, players on Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 can rest assured that you will see a Beta on your platform in January as well.

MINECRAFT: Xbox One VS. Xbox 360 Comparison

Minecraft just released today for the Xbox One and PS4.  You can pick up the title for $20, or if you already owned it on your previous gen console, you can get it for only $5.  Here's a quick comparison of Minecraft on the Xbox One vs. the Xbox 360 version, and also a simple tutorial on how to transfer your Xbox 360 saves to the Xbox One.  This same comparison can most likely be used for the PS3 vs PS4 versions as well.  Enjoy!

There really aren't any noticeable graphics differences between the two versions, but one thing you may notice is that Minecraft on the Xbox One has a much better soundtrack, and is quite a bit larger than the Xbox 360's version.  About 32x larger in fact.  You may also notice the Xbox One edition has a slightly longer draw distance, meaning you can see objects further off in the distance.

One thing to note is that when using one of your Minecraft: Xbox 360 saves on the Xbox One version, the two will be identical in size.  The only time the world will be larger on the Xbox One is when you're creating new worlds.

So, if you've owned the previous version, and just want to expand upon what you've already created, then there may not be any real point in upgrading to the new version on the Xbox One unless you just don't use your old console.  However, if you're deciding between the two, well, Minecraft on the Xbox One will definitely be the better version of the two.

Battlefield 4: DICE Addresses Cheaters & How They Deal With Them

DICE addresses cheaters in their latest blog post, and how they go about catching and punishing violators.  Cheating has definitely been a problem for many FPS games on PC for a long time, and often times it doesn't seem like developers really care if violators are ruining other players experiences.  DICE however is definitely making it a point that they do care if players have a more enjoyable time playing their game, and seem to have a very good system in place where they are not only able to find and monitor suspicious players, but where they're able to separate the real cheaters from the good players.  DICE makes it a point that do not simply ban players based on stats, or for having several good rounds back-to-back, but they are taking in reports of suspicious player activity, monitoring those players, and then determining if the player is indeed cheating or legit.  They also have a more advanced anit-cheat software that they introduced awhile back that is able to determine if a player is doing something that no legitimate player could possibly do.  They've stated that this is not a foolproof system however, and may not catch every player that is cheating, and sometimes it takes time to update the system in order to catch players finding new ways of exploiting the game.  Check out all the steps DICE is taking to find cheaters and how they go about punishing violators below.

Is Battlefield 4's Big September Patch Launching Today?!? (UPDATED!)

According to the Battlefield 4 CTE Battlelog, today is "Patch Day."  Not exactly sure what this means because we haven't been expecting any new patches for the CTE yet . . .so could this be THE BIG "Patch Day" we've been expecting for the retail game?  If so, why haven't we caught any wind of this from the Battlefield 4 Retail Battlelog?  Not really sure why DICE didn't care to elaborate on what "Patch Day" this is, but I guess we'll know here shortly as the patch has an ETA of 3PM PDT.

*Update - DICE finally explained what the "Patch Day" is all about.  According to the CTE Battlelog DICE has made all the final preparations and updated the CTE servers to be "on par with what the Final Patch will include."  This means the current state of the CTE should be what we can expect when DICE finally launches the Fall Patch which they've stated should come in the "final weeks of September."

Battlefield 4 "Payback" Collaboration Trailer Details!

DICE announced yesterday on Battlelog that they are partnering up with Dimitri Vangelis, Wyman X, and Steve Angello to create a "Payback" Collaboration Trailer in which Battlefield 4 players can actually submit their BF4 gameplay footage to be included.  The trio is providing their latest hit song entitled "Payback" as the soundtrack for the trailer.

I think this is a pretty neat idea for a few different reasons.  Not only does it give Battlefield fans a chance to be in a Battlefield trailer, which would obviously be pretty cool.  If put together right (which has never been a problem for DICE), it will be a trailer completely comprised of actual gameplay footage, which will give the Battlefield 4 trailer more of a raw feel than we've seen in the past.  Plus the track just has a completely different vibe then any Battlefield trailer we've ever seen.

Payday 2 Pays Homage to Battlefield 4

To promote Payday 2's next DLC, the GAGE ASSAULT PACK, developer Overkill Software has transformed their website into a very similar marketing style to the first person shooter Battlefield 4.  At first many people were thinking this was some sort of diss on the game, but Overkill thwarted these rumors by saying, "This is us tipping our hat to a fellow Swedish game developer."  Both DICE and Overkill Software are Swedish game developers, and it's pretty cool to see developers of different titles appreciating each others work.

The Gage Assault Pack will be available tomorrow, Sept. 4 for Payday 2 fans for only $4.99.

Is Far Cry 4 too similar to Far Cry 3? (Gameplay/Preview)

Is Far Cry 4 too similar to Far Cry 3?  Here's some hands-on gameplay from the open-world first person shooter, showing off a familiar location to players who played the previous title, along with insight from the games Creative Director, Alex Hutchinson.  Hutchinson explains what sets the games apart from one another including some of the more subtle changes like how alarms work to some of the major changes like gameplay mechanics, location changes, new weapons and vehicles, and of course the new drop-in/drop-out Co-op system.  The game is set to release on all platforms starting November 18th.  What do you guys think about  Far Cry 4 so far?

Titanfall: Pilot Only Mode Confirmed by Respawn Entertainment (Pilot Skirmish)

Respawn Entertainment just announced that in their next game update they will be introducing a Pilot Only game mode called Pilot Skirmish.  They haven't released any further details about the new Pilot Only mode apart from the fact that it will be 8 vs 8 players with no AI and of course, no Titans.

I'm certainly eager to try out the new Pilot Skirmish game mode, but I think that Respawn Entertainment could take it a step further and just give players a Pilot Only option for all the current game modes that it would actually work with.

Along with the Pilot Skirmish game mode there are a lot of gameplay and balance improvements on the way.  Check out the full list of updates coming in Titanfall's next patch here.

What do you think about the new Pilot Skirmish game mode coming to Titanfall?

PS4 has most active Battlefield 4 Players?

According to P-Stats (Player Stats Network), who tracked active Battlefield 4 players across all platforms, the PS4 has the most active BF4 players.  This includes players on PC.

As we all know Battlefield has been known for being highly popular on PC since the the franchise launched almost 11 years ago, but it seems as though the tide could be turning.  It's not unusual that the PC version of Battlefield in the past has always had the more active players.  The game did offer a much better experience to PC players than players on the older generation platforms because their hardware could handle the full experience.  64 players, more vehicles, the works.  With the next generation consoles however, being able to provide the full Battlefield experience, and much improved graphics, it seems as though things may be changing.

Of course this could have a lot to do with the problems that Battlefield 4 players have experienced on the PC that has caused many people to walk away from the game.  All platforms have been affected by the bugs and issues, but I think that many of the once loyal Battlefield community on the PC have taken these issues much harder than console owners because this was "their" game.

DICE is hard at work on improving Battlefield 4 with the CTE (Community Test Environment), and should have a game changing patch launching in early September.  Hopefully this will bring PC players, and players on all platforms back to the game and back to the Battlefield community.

Amazon buys Twitch for $970 Million

For several months now it's been rumored that would be buying out Twitch.TV, the most popular streaming website online today. This merge would have most likely had something to do with already Google owned YouTube.  However, today it's been confirmed that Twitch.TV has just been aquired by for $970 Million.

It was reported awhile back that had already purchased the streaming company for over $1 Billion, but all rumors have been thwarted today, as it is now official that Twitch.TV is now part of Amazon.

Twitch.TV claimed in a press release that there would not be any major changes to the network; that they would be keeping the same employees, same office, and above all their independence.  So we probably won't see too much difference as far as how the site is run, and if we do, hopefully it will just be better change.

Check out the latest Battlefield 4 CTE Patch, including some new weapon changes.

Battlefield 4 CTE Reduced Weapon Damage Model

Introducing the Razer Kraken Pro Analog Gaming Headset. The most comfortable gaming headsets.EVER. Click Here

Welcome to another Battlefield 4 CTE discussion!  Today we're discussing even more weapon changes that DICE are currently testing, specifically the reduced damage model  If you haven't heard, DICE is now introducing a new lower damage model on all automatic weapons with a current damage model of 25 or greater.  With weapons like the Scar-H, Bulldog, and ACE 52, they are lowering the minimum damage by 1 (Scar-H & Bulldog now have a 24 minimum damage - The ACE 52 now has a 19 minimum damage).  With assault rifles and carbines that have a 25 max damage, they are reducing their max damage by an unspecified amount.  They have stated clearly though that these weapons will now require at least 5 body shots up close to drop a target instead of 4, so the new damage will be somewhere between 20 & 24.  Check out the video above as I give some of my thoughts on why DICE is introducing the new damage model to Battlefield 4 a feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section!

Beta Release Date: The Battlefield Hardline Beta will begin in January (No exact date confirmed)
Release Date: The Release date for the full game will be one month after the Beta (so February)

Battlefield 4 Zombie/Infected Mod Gameplay

Check out some gameplay from the new Battlefield 4 Zombie Mod!  The Mod is very similar to Call of Duty's Infected game mode in principle, but there are quite a few Battlefield elements in it that in my opinion make it far better, and a lot more fun! Please take a moment to check out the video above, and let me know your thoughts on the new BF4 Zombie game mode in the comments section.

Battlefield 4 New Features & How They Work - HUD/UI Customization, Revive Mechanics, & Pre Round Ready State

Battlefield Hardline Rescue Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer & How to Play

Check out the all new Battlefield Hardline Rescue Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer
Yesterday we saw the teaser trailer for the Battlefield Hardline Rescue Mode and were really unsure what Rescue Mode was all about.  I personally thought it was a Co-op game mode.  The new trailer has now confirmed that this is not a Co-op mode and is indeed a new multiplayer game mode.

How to play Rescue Mode Details:
  • 5v5
  • Attackers vs Defenders
  • Defenders must guard a high value hostage
  • Attackers must secure the hostage and return it to their base
Rescue Mode seems to be a game mode that will require a ton of teamwork and communication between players to be very successful, especially for the Attackers who must secure the hostage and transport them back to their base.  I've heard that once you secure the hostage, you literally have to pick them up and carry them while your teammates defend you and the hostage.

Sounds like this could be a very interesting game mode, and a very fitting game mode for Battlefield Hardline.

Battlefield 4 CTE Patch 19 Detailed, General Improvements & Teamplay Initiative

DICE LA is still hard at work on the "Core Gameplay" of Battlefield 4, and have rolled out a brand new update or patch to the CTE servers that definitely shows some promise for the future of BF4.  Some of the highlights from the latest CTE Update, Initiative #2: Core Gameplay Patch 19, include HUD tweaks, level and object optimizations,  game mode improvements, further weapon balancing, and more.  Below that you will find some improvements and changes, outlined directly by DICE, that many players in CTE have had the chance to experience since Core Gameplay Patch 16.

So far I've been really impressed with the adjustments and changes I've experience in the CTE servers so far, and I have to say I'm very optimistic about the future of Battlefield 4.  Check out the full list of changes and tweaks, directly from DICE below, and if you haven't done so already, make sure to sign up for the CTE to test the changes and leave DICE your feedback here.

Battlefield 4 CTE Core Gameplay Patch 18 - Weapon Stats and Attachment Changes Detailed

Here are the latest weapon and attachment changes coming to Battlefield 4 in Core Gameplay Patch 18.  These tweaks will nerf many fan favorite weapons, make many weapons that players overlook much more effective, and will definitely have players rethinking weapon attachments.  These weapons and attachment changes are currently available in the CTE (Community Test Enviornment) for Battlefield 4.  Make sure to hop on a CTE server and try them out!

Battlefield 4 UFO Easter Egg on Propaganda Map?

Is there a possible UFO Easter Egg on the new Battlefield 4 map, Propaganda?  According to YouTube personality JackFrags, while playing a round on the new Dragon's Teeth DLC map, his mate shouted out that he saw a UFO!  Whether or not he actually saw a UFO obviously can't be proved, but why would he say he saw a UFO if he didn't?  He went on to tell Jack that it hovered over near the train area and then took off at lightning speed, and even drew a picture of what he saw.  Jack says that his mate is not the type of person to just make stuff up.  Also, a DICE employee (darklord7854) was also on the server in the same round.  If this is indeed a legit Easter Egg he could have possibly activated the UFO during the round, just as players have to activate the Megaladon Easter Egg in Naval Strike?  As many of you already know, the Dragon's Teeth DLC did come with a set of "Alien" dog tags.  Maybe these were hinting at the UFO Easter Egg.

So I guess it's time to comb through the new Propaganda map to see if we can possibly trigger a new Battlefield 4 Easter Egg!  Please take a moment to leave your thoughts about the UFO Easter Egg in the comment section, and let us know what other Easter Eggs you think might appear in Battlefield 4?

Battlefield 4: Exclusive CTE Specialist Camo & Core Gameplay Patch 16

Have you been participating in the Battlefield 4 CTE (Community Test Environment)?  Well it seems as though DICE is going to be rewarding players that are participating, starting with their very own exclusive camo.  The camo is called the "CTE Specialist" and is a very dark grey camo, similar to the DICE Exclusive Camo which is all black.  Whether or not there will be future benefits and rewards for testers beyond making Battlefield 4 a better game, and overall smoother experience, is unclear at this time, but it's nice to know that DICE appreciates the players who have taken a little time to help test the game on CTE servers.  It's unsure how you will unlock the camo in CTE, but it has been said that it will become available to the most "eager" testers.  Check out the new "CTE Specialist" camo below.

Battlefield 4 Phantom Initiate Password & How it was Discovered!

Once again the Battlefield 4 community has come together and solved the third Phantom Program assignment!

Battlefield 4 "Uncap Auto Spot" - Undiscovered Bug or Unannounced Feature?

Today we're taking a look at either a new bug or possibly a new feature DICE slipped into Battlefield 4 under the rader.  This "Uncap Auto Spot" issue/feature has just been discovered by YouTuber blackmesatech, who points out that he hadn't noticed this issue until playing on the new Dragon's Teeth DLC maps.  Check out the video below to learn more!

So a few questions have to be asked with this new "Uncap Auto-Spot" issue, or possibly feature arising in Battlefield 4.  First off; did DICE intend for the Auto-Spot to be in the game when a player is near the enemy deployment?  Were these possibly measures taken by DICE to help ward off base campers or possibly give a team that's spawn trapped a small advantage of possibly of breaking it?  If this is the case however, why hasn't DICE announced this Uncap Auto-Spot "feature" among the other new features in Battlefield 4.  Next; is this even a new issue/feature?  Well obviously no one has ever noticed any sort of Auto-Spot occurring before, or we would have most likely heard about it before now.  So has it been there since the launch of Battlefield 4 or is this something completely new, possibly coming with the new Dragon's Teeth DLC, either intentionally or unintentionally?

Could Battlefield Hardline be Battlefield's Downfall?

Today we discuss Battlefield: Hardline and whether or not the cops and robbers themed first person shooter could possibly be the ruin of the Battlefield franchise.  Obviously the game is being developed by Visceral Games, a company who are completely new to the Battlefield franchise, and not only that, they're trying to develop a Battlefield game that's not even military themed.  Could Battlefield: Hardline potentially make or break the franchise?  Check out the video below, and make sure to let us know what you think!

DICE's Patrich Bach on The Future of Star Wars: Battlefront!

Here's the latest interview with DICE about the upcoming title Star Wars: Battlefront.  The interview has been translated from Swedish, so read carefully and keep in mind that some things don't translate very clearly from Swedish to English.  Check out DN for the original interview, and don't forget to follow by email to stay up-to-date on all my posts!

Sagan gets his continuation in Stockholm. Swedish gaming company Dice has been commissioned to make the game that accompanies the upcoming film trilogy - something that made people burst into tears of happiness.

Twelve people are gathered in a ring around the object on the floor.

- Can I take it? asking a man devotedly.

The object - a handmade scale model of the AT-AT machines appearing in the movie "The Empire Strikes Back" - is both "limited edition" and "artist proof": certified and in limited edition. For collectors and "Star Wars" geeks, these factors have features of any Ebay search. And this location, the game studio Dice on the ninth floor of the glass house on Katarinav├Ągen, teeming with "Star Wars" buffs.

Consider then the joy when it became clear that Dice was honored mission of Disney and Lucasfilm to get to do the next "Star Wars" game, "Battlefront". According to the company's press officer dropped some of the employees in tears when the news became official.

And the better it got. The mission included the trip to the Lucasfilm Archives, the museum-like, climate controlled institution in Nicasio, California, where they keep the original physical models from the first three films. The actual R2-D2 used in the film, all the X-Wings and Tie-Fighters. These were then photographed by the order to be recreated with the most detail in the game.

- It was a sacred moment to walk around there and look. A mixture of religious mood and panic fear of accidentally touching something or destroy heritage. There were plastic gloves if something were to be moved, says Patrick Bach, executive producer and studio manager for Dice in Stockholm, where he sits leaning forward on a couch next to the window with a panoramic view over the French Bay and Skeppsbrokajen.

How much creative freedom are conclusions regarding the tune of pop culture's most prestigious brand? According to Bach is a major benefit of the project that Dice wants the same direction as Lucasfilm.

- They have said about the new movies that they should be 'more' Star Wars' than 'Star Wars' has been in the past, "and we are faced with the same delicate question: how do you make something new that must be old? But we have the same goal, which is very pleasant. If we wanted to make your own "Star Wars" would perhaps have caused conflict, if for example, we began to create their own sound to the spaceships. Now it is no discussion: "It should sound like this." People who heard the voices of nearly 35 years is not so keen on it to sound different, everyone knows how a lightsaber sounds.

To developing a product in the "Star Wars" universe can be seen as both a blessing and a curse. Few other tales have such devoted followers, with such strong views about how things should be managed and be. Something that George Lucas himself came to notice after the last three films, from "The Phantom Menace" to "Revenge of the Sith."

- The fans had such a firm attitude about what was right that not even the show's creators were able to meet their requirements. It does not yet exist, people will always have a definite opinion about, it's the same problem as when filmatiserar a novel. When a fantasy visualized by someone else, it will be a mismatch against reality. You can not win a-such a discussion. What we know is that we will not compromise with the original. We are very loyal "Star Wars" films.

This loyalty has taken the form of the team traveled to the environments in which the films were made. The planet Hoth (Norway), the planet Endor (the California redwood forests), the planet Tatooine (Tunisia's desert). Everything to make the games graphical representation of the Worlds as authentic as possible.

- We have attempted to push the graphics so far that we feel that we can recreate realistic environments. Instead of starting with computer graphics, so we start with a real environment. This places demands on our charts that they have to understand how reality works, rather than to be good at it purely technical. One must understand light, contrasts, angles.

Is there any reference or rulebook you have available to get everything right?

- Well then, Lucasfilm have staff whose sole job is to know everything about "Star Wars" universe and give us all the info we need. They come with very detailed feedback. It can be about such small things as how a clasp looks at a particular helmet in a particular film.

Just "Star Wars" franchise has not been managed so well earlier in the game story.

- No, I agree. Without denigrating specific products, it has well varied from very poor to very good. But I see it this way: It's a perfect starting point for us, the best position you can have!

At this writing echoes the company's hallways and office holiday empty, but hectic times ahead - although Bach is coated with gagging around what the deal is worth, how many people are working on the project or even when it will be released.

And even if they were just here in glass house is 300 people, with additional studios in Fatburen in Stockholm, Gothenburg and in Los Angeles, so underline Bach that Dice does not have any interest to grow significantly.

– The goal for us is to be as small as possible. An effective team is always less than an ineffective team. Our goal is to keep the studio as tight as possible and focus on the right people and capabilities, not just load up lots of people. We are 300 people here, but with the projects we are doing is we are not a person too much.

So you have no plans to move operations overseas?

– Certainly not. When we are so successful in Sweden, why should we risk it by moving somewhere else? That we are good at making games has to do with our culture and our way of thinking. When we work with people in other countries, it is apparent that we are a little different. We are more involved in the product, no matter what stage of production you belong to, we have a more open climate for feedback, anyone can think whatever. We have a degree of consensus that does not exist in other gambling houses, it is our safety valve.

You also have a tradition to start from nejs├Ągandet that approach. How does it work when you work together with American companies?

– Surprisingly good, actually. It may be perceived initially as an naysayers do not want something: We call ourselves "no, but" voters. You put the head on the scaffold when one says no, so the goal is to at the same time try to present a proposal on how something in place can be done better.
