Grand Theft Auto 5 PC Version Spotted

GTA V has already been confirmed for the Xbox 360 and PS3 with release date of September 17th, but Rockstar Games still hasn't confirmed a PC version of the game to the mass audience.  This being said . . .a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V has been spotted on multiple German retailer websites.  With listings on Amazon Germany as well as GamesOnly which suggest a PC version of the game compatible with Windows 7 and Vista.  Still no specific release dates listed.  A GTA V PC version had previously been spotted on Amazon France, which also suggested compatibility with Windows XP, and over 175,000 users signed a petition asking for a PC version of the game.

Awhile back GamesOnly also listed briefly a GTA V Special Edition, which was said to include:

  • SteelBook with exclusive artwork
  • World map
  • Stunt-planes challenges
  • Online-store concessions
  • Bonus outfits
  • Bonus tattoos
  • Special abilities boosters
  • Exclusive weapons

Rockstar Games representatives have said:

“for those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time."

and also:

“everything else is up for consideration”

Let's hope these listings hold true . . .but if not, I'll be definitely be whipping out the ole' PS3 or Xbox 360 for this title!
